The living area is comfortable and cozy, with leather seating & charming mountain cabin decor. One sofa opens into an easy bed. Free WiFi. Enjoy watching the large flat screen HDTV with expanded cable and premium channels including Starz/Encore, Music Choice, DVD player & Movie Library. A timed gas log fireplace (seasonal) helps you to create the perfect romantic ambiance.

There is a large dining table and the kitchen is very well equipped. A convenient natural gas BBQ grill and patio table are provided for relaxed outdoor cooking & dining as well.

There are 3 private sleeping areas: Master King Loft & 2 Queen Bedrooms. Both baths have jetted tubs & mounted hairdryers.

About Tom and Donna

Tom and Donna Notaro live in Pensacola, Florida. As avid auto enthusiasts, we visit the Gatlinburg area several times a year attending car shows, cruise-ins, and events. We've always loved the Smokies and decided to search for a property in Gatlinburg to be our mountain home.

Tom and Donna purchased this cabin in 2010
Why Tom and Donna chose Gatlinburg

Mountain Shadows Resort was designed as an extension of the Smoky Mountains National Park. Care was taken to preserve the area's wilderness setting. We enjoy the abundance of wildlife that travels through the resort. All the cabins in Mountain Shadows were built on angles, so once inside you have a sense of privacy and seclusion. We have beautiful views of the mountains, but we can also listen to the breeze as it passes through the trees.

What makes this cabin unique

We chose Good Time Getaway because it had everything we wanted and more. Lovely cabin, beautiful views, and total stress-free relaxation! The 3BR/2BA design provided privacy for our two daughters and was big enough for us to invite friends to stay. We loved the natural all-wood log design of the cabin and the soaring cathedral ceiling. We want ease, convenience and relaxation when we are at the cabin. We have it all in Good Time Getaway. We are close to everything, yet far enough away. Who could ask for more!?!

Easy access to Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and area's best Zipline and White Water Rafting. Horseback riding in National Park is within walking distance from the cabin.

There is something here for everyone! Shopping and antiques, dinner theatres and fine dining, awesome hiking trails, horseback riding, whitewater rafting and ziplines, helicopter rides and amusement parks, scenic drives, wildlife viewing, bicycling, fishing, ,..And we are withing walking distance to the trolly!

Me, my wife, our daughter and her husband and their 4 year old triplets stayed in the cabin for 6 nights--had a wonderful time. Donna is a great hostess, we called her once with a question, and she knew the answer to "how to correct an operating issue with the hot tub." The seven of us hiked, went to the aquarium, rafted, tubed, visited Wonder Works, swam in the pool, both ate in the cabin and went out to eat at some of the great restaurants (Don't miss the English Pub Fox and Parrot on Glades Road or the Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge). We even saw a mother bear and her four cubs on a hike to Clingman's Dome. The cabin is as advertised, a short distance from Gatlinburg, yet on the mountain surrounded by trees.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Thank you, the description and pictures of the cabin were exactly as shown, perfectly located in the midst of it all. Donna was wonderful, communicated and set expectations, she was available for any questions that arose. We are looking forward to next year , we hope were able to stay again at "GOOD TIME GETAWAY" We enjoyed just relaxing in the cabin, outdoor cooking and time in the hot tub!!! Amazing Honeymoon

My wife and I rented the Good Time Getaway for a small honeymoon after our wedding. First off, Donna was communicating with us every step of the way, which made us feel very comfortable even before leaving for the trip. She informed me of things to do in Gatlinburg, as well as Smoky Mountain National Park. The cabin was just amazing. We fell in love with it the moment we unlocked the door. Anything we could possibly need was there. We recommend visiting the wineries in and around Gatlingburg and the neighboring Pigeon Forge. Also, the Titanic museum in Pigeon Forge. Calhoun's was the place to be for BBQ. If it's your thing, make sure to sample the local moonshine and whiskey. One of the best moments of the trip was taking the Ober Gatlinburg Tramway. Breathtaking views.

This was the perfect getaway for Samantha and I to go on after a very stressful wedding. We will be coming back to the Smokies, and when we do, hopefully the Good Time Getaway is available. It's the only place we'll stay. Thanks Tom and Donna!

Had a great time in Gatlinburg. The guys ziplined, we spent a day at Biltmore & Chimney Rock, a day at Dollywood, and a rainy Thursday shopping and go-karting at Cooters. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us; we really enjoyed it!

Our Anniversary

My husband and I came to Gatlinburg to celebrate our anniversary and decided to bring a couple friends as well. The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Although it wasn't sunny the entire time, the hot tub was still incredibly relaxing. The cabin is in a great location that is close to everything. We have already started planning our next trip. Thank you so much for a wonderful "Good Time Getaway!"
