3 BR, 2 and 1/2 BA and O/S, just a 6-7 minute walk from LC Beach

The complete privacy, whimsical sculptures, and open setting of the house strike you as soon as you drive up the driveway. Surrounded by both trees and yard you are torn between strolling the grounds to admire the Native American sculptures or exploring your vacation retreat. With a practical and window-walled foyer room leading into the well-equipped kitchen you immediately feel the welcoming and comfortable atmosphere of this inviting home. There is a 1/2 bath off the kitchen on the way to the light-filled dining room. Here there is a large farmer's table and sliders to the wraparound deck w/ its teak dining table and loveseat for your dining, barbecuing, or daydreaming enjoyment. From here, or from the kitchen, you enter the LR w/ one entire wall of glass windows from almost floor height to the cathedral ceiling, a charming vintage fireplace area, and a veritable art gallery of a seasoned Southwestern art collector. There is an outside entrance to the other leg of the wraparound deck-both legs of the deck overlook a grassy yard, Adirondeck chirs beckon. The comfy white linen couch and overstuffed chair entice one to settle in w/ a good book, a fun movie, or for a pleasant post-beach chat. There's a doorway at one end of the LR to a den/office, at the other end is a BR w/ an antique double iron bed. There's a full bath w/ a tub/shower between them, accessed from either room.

Going up the stairway and along the railed walkway overlooking the LR there is first a large queen MBR w/ a sitting area and at the far end a BR w/ 2 twins. There is a full bath w/ both a separate shower and a built-in tub overlooking the yard between them w/ access from both BRs.

Beautiful pastoral West Tisbury offers a stunning private town beach, several nature preserves w/ hiking trails (one preserve has a saltwater beach!), a large freshwater swimming pond w/ a lifeguard, farm animals grazing in pastures by roadside produce stands, and the bountiful 2X weekly Farmer's Market. Bucolic West Tisbury's center offers old-fashioned Alley's General Country Store for fun shopping, deli snacking, and porch lounging, the weekly Artisan's Fair w/ over 75 exhibitors, and terrific art galleries and easy access to miles of bike trails meandering throughout the State Forest. There are town tennis courts, a baseball field, and a wonderful new playground for any WT tenant's or resident's use. The 2 best things? Lambert's Cove Beach which is the most beautiful calm beach on MV AND the busy commercial towns are all within a 6-20 minutes' drive away!

WT has it's own mini-shopping center, farm produce stands, openings, and festivals however so until you are ready for the hustle and bustle of commercial towns you needn't venture far for groceries, island grown produce, homemade baked goods, banking, postal or pharmaceutical needs, fine and/or casual dining, gallery openings, bountiful flower bouquets, specialty shopping, an educational arboretum, swimming and sandcastle building, and nature adventures.
