Sundance House is one of the most private & comfortable homes on the island. There are three bedrooms and two baths on the main floor, and a wonderful outdoor shower below. The Master has a queen bed & private bathroom, while the guest-room Queen and the Kid’s room (with two single beds) share a separate full bath. There’s also a fold-out futon couch in the Sunroom.
Perfect for families or up to three couples, enjoy the large, fully-equipped kitchen, dining and living areas, Sunroom, and especially the Outdoor Shower downstairs. Satellite TV, a Dvd player and Wi-Fi are included.
Sitting on the front deck at sunset, the view feels like you're in a national park or your own private beach. Our home is directly on the beach, and only a few minute’s walk from our community bayfront dock!
Discover Old Florida: No Bridges, No Pavement, No Cars!
As part of the barrier island chain that includes Sanibel and Captiva Islands, Little Gasparilla offers the peace and quiet that those busy islands used to have. Accessible only by water taxi, Little Gasparilla has fewer tourists, no high-rises and no crowds on the beach. You vacation with dolphins, osprey and sea turtles instead!
There’s great fishing from the beach or the dock, and both children & adults will enjoy shelling, swimming, snorkeling or simply enjoying the sun. With no noisy nightlife or lights, you’ll see more stars than you might think possible. And while there’s daily water-taxi service between the island and the mainland, we bet you’ll want to stay put once you’ve arrived.
Golf carts can be rented, but most prefer walking the sandy paths that run the length of the island. There’s an excellent fresh-fish market (Miss Cindy's) just across Placida Bay, and many restaurants and gift shops in the nearby towns of Boca Grande and Placida –– a few reachable by water-taxi.
Our weekly rental rate is $1,800 plus tax and we have a one week minimum rental period (or $6,800 per month). Sorry, but we cannot rent for weekends. We also require a (refundable) $300 reservation/security deposit. There may be a surcharge for pets and holiday weeks, including Easter, Spring Break, Memorial Day, July 4, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
A vacation on Little Gasparilla will be one of your best holidays ever –– All you need are groceries, a bathing-suit, & a carefree attitude!

We love water & sailing, snow & skiing. But when the winters get too cold in Park City, we can't wait to get down to Little Gasparilla to warm up and splash around! We also love to hike the length of the island (7 miles), watching for osprey & eagles, owls & dolphins, as we go. We've travelled all over, but LGI is a very special place. Come visit!
We spent five years driving through strip-mall Florida in search of the quiet little beaches we remembered from our childhood, and finally stumbled upon this best-kept secret place! Geography has saved Little Gasparilla –– it's just far enough away from highways 41 and 75, Sarasota & Ft Myers, to remain relatively undiscovered to this day. If you like boats & water, and would like to take a break from our car-crazy culture, then we bet you'll love this place as much as we do!
You have to want to get here, to get here, and that's a Good thing. But once you've stocked up on Groceries at the Publix down the road, parked the car at Eldred's marina, boarded your water-taxi and entered the bay, you'll feel your shoulders drop as you leave the mainland and all its cares behind. Land at Dock 41 five minutes later, grab a cart to roll your things cross-island in the free cart, and five more minutes brings you to our Sundance House. You'll pass our neighbors on the way, but once you reach our upper deck, the Gulf is all yours, for as long as you want.
