The very modern Architect’s house with salt water pool and see view for 2 - 6 pers.is part of a property with a very well maintained big garden with palm trees, and many sub-tropical plants. The house looks over onto the natural reserve and the ocean and has an open-plan kitchen and living room, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and North and South-facing patios. With open fire place, central heating, washing machines, radio and CD player, approx. 100 m2 living area. Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Estoril and and Mafra are all within easy reach. This modern, architect-designed house is ideal for those who enjoy the quietness and beauty of nature and seek to have contact with the friendly Portuguese villagers. The lush vegetation and the Atlantic Ocean make up for a very mild micro-climate in summer and in winter.

Surroundings information: Area: Sintra is well known for its historic buildings, palaces and beautiful gardens. The Pena Palace is situated on top of the Sintra Mountain next to the Moorish Castle. It can be reached by car, bus, horse drawn carriage or by foot! It is a very steep climb and only the very fit should attempt to walk! The town itself is a very popular tourist area and has many places of interest and a tourist office. Cascais, Estoril and Lisbon provide all that you may require in the way of shops, museums, historic buildings, night-life and a casino. Further north the Mafra palace and the fishing port of Ericeira are worth a visit. Between Guincho and Adraga beach lies the most western point of Europe- Cabo da Roca. A monument by the lighthouse marks the point.

Atlantic coast: The Atlantic coast provides wonderful opportunities to go surfing and boarding. Some of the Portuguese championships are held along these beaches. Several are easily accessible and have very good facilities including cafe/bars and excellent seafood restaurants.

The architect house stands on the edge of the village of Almocageme, between Cascais and Sintra, and 35 km away from Lisbon. The area is part of a nature reserve and it is possible to hike along the coast or on the Sintra Mountain. The house has a big garden with 5000 square meters. The Adraga Beach lies 1 km away and can be reached by foot (20 minutes) or by car (2 minutes). Almocageme is a typically Portuguese village with restaurants, cafés and a food market. The climate is very mild.

Notes

Price includes water and electricity, for 2-4 persons excluding a Euro 70 fee for cleaning and linen. For 5-6 persons we take Euro 15 more per day .There is a deposit fee of Euro 500 .Towels and dish cloths are available but you’ll have to bring your own beach towels.

In order to confirm the reservation you will have to make a downpayment of Euro 500 and transfer the remaining amount plus a deposit of Euro 500 up 6 weeks before the start of your stay.
This amount will be paid back after your stay.
The rent has to be paid 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday. Cancellations made up 6 weeks prior to the start of the holiday will incur a 50% charge. No refund will be paid for cancellations made during the 8 weeks period preceding the start of the holidays.
