This beautiful lake front home with gorgeous views is located on Lauderdale Lakes just 20 minutes north of Lake Geneva. A modern kitchen with granite counter tops, walk-in pantry, granite breakfast bar, spacious maple cabinets, built-in microwave, and dishwasher is perfect for entertaining. The formal dining room and living room have great floor to ceiling windows providing spectacular views of the channel. In the winter time enjoy the cozy fireplace. Sliding glass doors lead to a screened in porch, perfect for breakfast. Master bedroom has a large walk in closet and access to the master bath. The lower level has 2 more bedrooms, each with its own bath and large walk in closet. The family room has floor to ceiling windows with a sliding glass door exiting to a large stamped concrete patio with a built-in fire pit. Stairs from the patio descend to the pier and shore station. All landscaping was completed in 2006-07 with many Wisconsin wild flowers and shrubs. New pier houses 2 boats

The Kettle Moraine-Hiking and Biking: The Southern entrance to the Kettle Moraine is just 7 miles north on 67th. The Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest is 30 miles long, extending from the village of Dousman, Wisconsin, almost to the city of Whitewater. Forest Headquarters is 3 miles west of the village of Eagle on State Highway 59 Prairie blazing star blooms in the Scuppernong River Habitat Area.

More than 20,000 acres of glacial hills, kettles, lakes, prairie restoration sites, pine woods and hardwood forests can be found in the Southern Unit, making this a popular area for a wide variety of visitors. The 3,500-acre Scuppernong River Habitat Area is the largest wet prairie east of the Mississippi River

Golfing: Evergreen Golf course is located just south on highway 67. Beautiful panorama as well as a famous and delicious fish fry on Friday nights.

Alpine Valley has a beautiful golf course located about 8 miles away.

Lauderdale Lakes Golf course is located about 2 miles south. Beautiful and well established.

Grand Geneva Resort has an award winning golf course about 15 miles south on highway 12 and 50.

The Abbey-located in Lake Geneva Many other golf courses in the area.

Alpine Valley- Winter skiing Summer Concerts: Alpine Valley Resort has skiing, snow boarding, etc

About Lucia Salman

We are semi retired with 3 children and 8 grandchildren. We live in Downers Grove Il and own Grove Realtors. We have resided in Downers Grove for 41 years. We will be celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary this year.

Why Lucia Salman chose Elkhorn

This property is not too far from home..it takes us about an hour and 45 minutes by car. It was brand new when we purchased it and not in need of extensive rehabbing like so many lake properties.

What makes this house unique

Quiet area on the channel..no boats go chasing by. First floor has master bedroom and bath. Lower level has 2 bedrooms and two baths..perfect for extended family. Large stamped concrete patio with a fire pit is great in the evening for cookouts and campfires. It is very close to great golf courses, the Kettle Morraine, and Lake Geneva with all of it's quaint shops and restaurants. Alpine Valley is only 8 miles away for skiing and has several concerts during the summer.

The Lauderdale Lakes Club has activities such as the water ski club, Octoberfest, etc. This home is for 'All Year Round' as well as a great vacation home.

Lauderdale is an all sport, 850 acre, 60ft deep spring fed three lake chain. It is situated on the edge of the Kettle Moraine State Forest which offers miles of hiking, biking, snowmobiling and cross country ski trails. There is a challenging 9 hole golf course overlooking the lake, an on water restaurant and marina,a competitive ski show as well as a yacht club with many social events. Wonderful stay in Elkhorn

We had the BEST time staying at this lakehouse for a few nights over the new years holiday. We arrived to find the house sparkling clean, including freshly washed floors, bathrooms, linens, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, and cooking supplies and perfect for cooking meals for a big group. Even though it was the dead of winter and bitter cold outside, the house was cozy and warm the whole time (and had a GREAT fireplace)! Our group caught a few big walleye while ice fishing, as well. On new years eve, we went to the Lauderdale Landing for a fun night out.

Overall--- I could not think of a more perfect place for our group to stay. The house was beautiful and the owners made renting it easy and convenient. We are already planning our next trip to this place!

Loved to cozy up in this lovely home!

We spent a great Thanksgiving holiday in this property. It has very beautiful surroundings. Everything in the house functions pretty well. It has a nice kitchen,cozy fire place, and a nice fire pit outdoors which is perfect for chilly nights in the season. We did lots of cooking, moving watching, board game playing, and when we got tired of cooking, there are also plenty of take out places not far away. Plenty of space in the house that it is very comfortable for us to just lounge around and relax. We had a great time!

Great Vacation Rental!

We had a wonderful time at the house with our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters, ages 5 and 2. The house and the lake are beautiful. We brought our own boat for tubing and fishing, so the dock was great to have available. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch and the kids loved having a fire in the patio firepit for s'mores. Since the kids love pasta and pizza, we were thrilled to find a wonderful Italian restaurant called "Holy Connoli" nearby. It became a favorite and we would recommend it to anyone who loves Italian food. This was probably one of our most enjoyable vacations and we hope to come back. THANKS!
