That road takes you out of Ramey’s “Gate 5” & becomes Route 110. You will pass “Aguatica Dive Shop” on your left and then notice a sign that say COOP on your right. That is the local Co-op grocery and has good produce, meat, and most of the amenities that you will need for your stay at Villa Tropical.

Take Route 110 a couple miles. After you go around a long right curve, you’ll hit Route 4466. There’s a blinking traffic light and the restaurant Brisa del Atlantico is on the SW corner. A WEEK IN PARADISE

  • 5 of 5
Casa Vela was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us. The entire family of ten adults and two children spent a week there to celebrate the patriarch’s 80th birthday. The casa and the environs met the needs of the oldest, 80 years old, to the youngest, 6 years old. The beaches were minutes away, we slept to the sound of breaking surf, and two kitchens gave us plenty of space for meal preparation. Grocery stores and restaurants were a short drive. The layout of the casa provided everyone with privacy but we spent hours on the patio eating, talking, sunning and watching the kids play in the pool. Another amazing piece of our time at Casa Vela was our host. Alex paid meticulous attention to our needs; one morning providing us with fresh pastries and bread after the town’s electricity went out. The time we had at Casa Vela was perfect; we highly recommend it to anyone interested in a vacation in paradise.

GREAT HOUSE FOR VACATION WITH FAMILY

  • 5 of 5
My husband, myself and five children (ages 8-15) met my brother, his wife and four children (ages 10-15) for spring break. The house and location were perfect. We walked to Jobos beach to snorkel and surf. The cafe across the street is great for breakfast and lunch. Alex was very helpful. He suggested good restaurants and even let us follow him to the restaurant. He suggested snorkelling at shacks beach and horseback riding, both of which were great activities. We followed him to the waterfalls for a morning of swimming and jumping off the rocks. We ate at a nearby Thai restaurant which was excellent. The property was clean and the various decks and patios were perfect for our big group. I suggest grocery shopping at a store about 5-10 minutes from the property rather than the grocery store by Walmart. The one close to the house (Alex can give you the name and let you know where it is) is english speaking and very easy to navigate.

A BEAUTIFUL AND SPACIOUS PROPERTY.

  • 5 of 5
I went with 11 adults and the property fit us perfectly. The house had enough living areas to accommodate group dinners and a game night. The outdoor area was definitely the highlight, as it allowed people to have relaxing alone time even though we were in a large group. We had time playing beach ball in the pool or lounging in a hammock. The location was ideal as there were not a lot of homes surrounding us and there was a small convenience store and a wonderful small restaurant within a short walk. The pathway to the private beach was also wonderful, we used it often. It is not a swimming beach, but the views were breathtaking, and you could walk to Playa Jobos from there. I've traveled often, and my experience at CasaVela is one that I'll always cherish. I hope some day I'll get to visit it again.

BEYOND BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • 5 of 5
What can I say that the others did not say in their reviews? Oh I had my wedding here!!! :-). I rented this lovely property for four nights from Nov 30th, 2013 to Dec 4th 2013. I live in Chicago and always wanted a beautiful beach side wedding at a low cost. Boy did I get lucky finding this place. I have some family and friends that live in Puerto Rico, but a little far from Isabella so my intentions were to rent the house and let my guess stay there just so they didn't have to drive in the dark. The home owner Alex was a gem. He helped me so much along the way of my wedding preparations and I am forever grateful. I had a small wedding of about 30 guest. We were able to set up tables in the driveway away including a tarp (just in case it rained). The ceremony was on the beach and reception back at the house. It couldn't have worked out any more perfect as it did. I only had one day to prep for the wedding and Alex was so very helpful to let the vendors in and set up before my actual check in. Alex was able to recommend a few local vendors for the wedding in which worked out perfectly, because if your not from there the vendors will definitely take advantage. The backyard was big enough for 5 tables, a tarp, DJ, and a food buffet. With the help of Alex this was a hit thank you. After the wedding we were able to relax in the house for a few days with friends and family. If you are staying with a large group this house is well equipped for it. The house was clean, modern, and welcoming. I very much enjoyed it after the wedding. I definitely will be back.

CASAVELA HAS IT ALL!

  • 5 of 5
The well-apointed house is perfectly located on the beach, in close proximity to the world-class surfing, the restaurants and the shops that make Puerto Rico such a perfect place to vacation. Surrounded by dense vegetation, Casavela is a private oasis on the coast. Here you can feel at-home while enjoying your vacation in paradise. Bikes, Boards, Stereos and Wireless internet are waiting at the house so your vacation can begin as soon as you arrive. Managers were very helpful--a gracious and friendly family. They thought of everything. We plan to return often.

WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE!!

  • 5 of 5
our group so enjoyed our visit last week! everyone had a blast and the house was perfect for our group. alex was so helpful and gave us lots of advice and extra amenities, etc. having the surfboards was great and some of the guys had a great time surfing at jobos and also at wilderness.

we are definitely thinking about renting the place again next year - the house was very accommodating for our group which fluctuated between 12 and 18 over the course of 5 nights. having two kitchens was great, and we spent almost all of our time outside on the beach, around the pool, or walking down to the bars at jobos and watching surfers and kiteboarders. having the outdoor space made the place so much more inviting - pools and bbq area, plus the two patios... and the views were gorgeous. from the decks we saw rainbows and iguanas, plus the gorgeous ocean!

thanks for everything!
