Guestbook comments from the owner
We had a great time! The car we rented didn't get much use! We ate at Easy Tiger a couple of times and ate at a mex. restaurant on S.Congress. The food there is fabulous! Shopped at Whole Foods, did an HEB run, also ate at P.Terry's and had a Veggie Berger which was great! Walked at Ladybird Lake twice. Learned the bus for our stay so with all the walking and bus rides ( we actually did walk into town all the way too), I only spent less than $15.00 on gas! I think a week is not enough. Next time, next year, I really hope, 10 days would be ideal. Gotta play that one by ear. the OK I I have no desire to go elsewhere, your place is perfect. I can't imagine staying in a hotel. Your neighbors were very nice. The one next door waved at me and said "hi" and the one at the purple house let my mom clip a letter from his mailbox to mail out! What a town, Austin is so welcoming and charming. We met a man while walking on the trail and said that Austin was like a big city run like a small town. What a breath of freash air. Perfect "Snow Bird" destination for sure.

We purchased this property because it is in a great Austin neighborhood and in the heart of town. Originally purchased as a leased rental property we decided to convert the property to a Vacation Rental property in 2010.
Our property puts you in easy reach of everything good about South Austin. Go for a run on Lake Lady Bird, have a great cup of coffee at a myriad of places, visit a uniquely Austin trailer park eatery, shop eclectic South Congress Ave and dance the night away at many local music venues.
