Comfortably nestled in a hillside only one street from the lake, Big Rock Candy Mountain Lodge is a 3 bedroom, 3 full bath lodge where modern meets traditional. Its central yet secluded location is less than 3 miles from Wisp ski resort, state parks, the movie theater, restaurants and many other local amenities. The area truly offers four seasons of fun including skiing, golfing, hiking, kayaking, and fishing – plus the new zip-lines and mountain roller coaster!

Relax in the great room with a movie from our DVD library on the 65” HDTV home theater system with surround sound, exercise with a game on the Wii, play air-hockey or table tennis in the basement, or check your E-mail on the high-speed wireless network.

Enjoy all the modern amenities this vacation home has to offer - or take a 5 minute walk to dip your toes in the lake, relax on the partially-covered wraparound deck with a book and enjoy the filtered lake views, or share your evenings around the fire-pit with s’mores

Infant and toddler-friendly: Since we have 4 children under the age of 4, the home has many features that would be appreciated by families with small children! First of all, leave your pack and play at home - there is one in the bunkroom! For eating, there is a high chair and 3 booster seats available. We also have a step stool in the main level bathroom (to reach the sink & toilet!), outlet covers and 3 safety gates at both sets of stairs and the door to the bunkroom. And for rainy days, there are some children's DVDs, games, puzzles & books (Candy Land, Chutes & Ladders, Don't Spill the Beans) - plus cards, Cranium and Monopoly for the older set, as well as a Wii gaming console (with 3 games) and an air-hockey / table tennis game in the unfinished basement.

We have 4 girls 4 and under (including a set of TWINS!) and look forward to enjoying time in the summer on the lake and teaching the girls to ski this winter!!

This is one of the best homes I've stayed in at Deep Creek & we certainly will be making this our only home going forth. Not only was the home clean comfy and very much accommodating , Cheryl is a sweetheart! She takes pride in her property and I can appreciate that. She was very helpful answering questions and making sure we had a smooth vacation. The property is in an excellent location, just a short drive from restaraunts and attractions. The pictures of the property are accurate andreally don't do any justice. This home is gorgeous! Weary actually be back this summer with our children!

We had a great time visiting WISP and loved your house!! We shared it with another family of 4. It was perfect for the 4 kids. It was so nice to leave the pack and play, travel seat, and gates at home! Thank you for a wonerful stay in your house. We look forward to your game room downstairs as this would allow for more space. While visiting we went tubing, skiing, did the mountain coaster 3X, ice skated, and had dinner at UNO's. This house is perfect and we hope to come back again soon!! Thanks again, The Wards

Snowy ski weekend :)

Our family enjoyed staying at this property, it was modern and cozy. We were glad we had 4 WD on our vehicle since it was a snowy weekend at Deep Creek! Definately a clean, well maintained property. The basement game room was a bit disappointing, but the pictures only show an air hockey/ping-pong table close-up. Just be aware the game room is not in the best of shape and it is in a non-heated, sparsely furnished garage area. Be prepared to make ice in trays, the ice maker wasn't functioning during our stay. We didn't contact the owners about this and it didn't propose a problem during our stay. It was very convient to WISP and there are groceries/restaurants near the home. This was our first trip to the area and we look forward to spending time at Deep Creek this summer-Thank you!

Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay - and even better that it was a snowy weekend!! The basement and game table are definitely as advertised - a game table in the basement! We are in the process of obtaining permits and renovating to create an actual game room (and 2 more bedrooms). Thanks for the feedback on the icemaker - we keep ice trays in the freezer since it has never been connected, but I will put a sign up so there is no confusion for future renters. We do hope you can stay again in the future - Deep Creek is a wonderful area :-)

Feels like home!

The perfect winter getaway! My family and friends enjoyed the atmosphere of this home. The pictures don't give the home any justice! It is 10x more beautiful in person! It wasn't too big where we could not find anyone, it was the perfect size for a gathering! The house is beautifully designed and almost felt like it was your own home. The linens and towels were very high quality and the kitchen came fully stocked with spices and condiments. The large window in the great room was beautiful to wake up to and the surround sound speakers were awesome. Most of us are quite young and watching the MMA fight on the flat screen was amazing and almost felt like you were actually there. The home had a few safety gates which was very appreciated, especially for my one-year old. The house also came with a pack-and-play, but I completely forgot and brought my own. Overall, this house was definitely worth renting. With its location being just a few miles from the resort, I am 100% sure that my family and friends will stay here again this season and next season! Also, the owner, Cheryl, is such a sweetheart and very easy to work with. She even checked up on us to see how we enjoyed our vacation! I can't wait to go back!

Great family getaway

What a wonderful home away from home. We were very happy with our stay at this vacation home. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. It was tastefully decorated, the beds were comfortable, the wii and large TV were appreciated.
Only a few miles from Wisp resort with skiing, snow tubing, etc.
it was snowy and icy and we definitely needed 4 wheel drive to get to the house but the owners had informed us of this ahead of time.
The owners were so nice and even called to check on us because of the storm.
We would definitely stay here again.
