ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER LOCATIONS IN CHATHAM!

Close to Lighthouse Beach and town. (See map)

This unique house, rarely rented outside the family, has been enjoyed for generations by the same family since it was built in 1911. The house comfortably sleeps up to thirteen people in seven bedrooms. There is also ample living space for a large group to spread out in. A large, eat-in kitchen; a huge porch; a living room; a downstairs family room with television, sitting area, and table and chairs; together with small desks and chairs in most bedrooms provide a variety of living spaces.

Located across the street from Lighthouse Beach and about a mile from the quaint, delightful town of Chatham, this house couldn't be in a better location. Guests enjoy walking to the beach or to town, and the large yard is not only great for outdoor games, but offers an elaborate swing set that's shared with an adjoining property.

The property not only has historical interest and charming character -- including original claw-foot bath tubs, an in-room sink in the master bedroom, a wrap around porch with rocking chairs, and the original wooden paneling throughout -- but also features a fully renovated eat-in kitchen with two ovens, a large fridge, a separate beverage fridge, a separate ice maker, microwave, and dishwasher. There is an additional fridge in the basement along with a washer and dryer. A separate pantry connecting the kitchen and dining room offers a wet bar with a large sink.

In addition to three full baths and a downstairs powder room, there is a large, fully tiled shower in the basement by an entrance from the back yard -- so you can easily come in directly from the beach and rinse off. There is no heat or air conditioning, but the bedrooms have window fans and there is a big, wood burning fireplace in the living room -- with wood provided. And if you enjoy barbecuing, there's an outdoor gas grill with propane provided.

Whether your preference be relaxing on the porch enjoying an ocean breeze, hitting the beach, or exploring the restaurants and shops in Chatham, this house offers the perfect location to do it all!

WONDERFUL VACATION!

We had the most wonderful vacation.....really the best family vacation we have had. It was all so relaxing and each and every family member was enthralled with all of it. The giant yard for football, baseball, capture the flag, and all other sports made for lots of fun. Everyone loves walking to town and your home certainly fit that bill......and walking across the street to the beach was very convenient. We would love to come back!
