We chose the Winslow's beach retreat for our annual family reunion and we loved it! The awe-inspiring views and the comfortable furnishings of this home set the tone for a true vacation. We felt our stress melt away as we settled in to explore our surroundings. The teenagers and the adults in our group put away computers, video games, and cell phones for the week and we all lived:) We searched for starfish on the beach, crashed waves, fished, crabbed, swam, played tennis, and enjoyed board games and movies at night. We explored historic Georgetown, Brookgreen Gardens, and Huntington Beach State Park. (ALL unique and highly recommended; our teenagers were impressed.) We bought fresh fish at the new Fresh Market and grilled it on the deck. We dined out at the Pawley's Island Tavern (amazing crab cakes and fun atmosphere) and at the Rice Paddy. Most importantly, we spent time enjoying each other...a rarity these days.
The housekeeper, Star, and the Winslows were in close contact with us when the air conditioner had problems cooling. The problem was resolved as quickly as possible and to our satisfaction.
The golf cart that comes with the house was an invaluable amentiy. We decided to rent an additional one from Georgetown Small Engines. We rented (2) canopy tents from Cabana Boy Beach Rentals and this allowed us to spend time on the beach any time during the day; there is nothing more relaxing than reading a good book under a canopy and listening to the waves.
Our "electronic free" vacation was voted the best beach vacation EVER! We hope to return next summer or sooner.

Owner's Response: We are blessed to have such a unique house situated in such a special place, and we are very happy we can share it with our renters.
