'Mess Hall' at Randall Point

The “Mess Hall” at Randall Point sits on the nicest piece of property on Walloon Lake. The Mess Hall was the original kitchen house for the other cabins on the property. Recently remodeled, the cabin features a new kitchen, bath and laundry room. Nestled on the south end of the property near the boat house and barn, the Mess Hall is the most private cabin on the property. The cabin sleeps 6 (4 double beds & one bunk bed) and has one bathroom. The lake is just steps from the front porch. This private estate consists of four privately owned homes, all owned by one family.

With over 2200’ of shoreline & 12 acres of property Randall Point is a park like setting. Park you boat in one of our designated slips at our dock (there is also space to park your trailer on site), use our kayaks for a morning or afternoon paddle. Come sit and enjoy the bonfires with the other families staying on the point.

Please let us know about your pet prior to reserving a time with us. We are animal lovers, but need to make sure your breed will get along with ours! We are located ½ way between Walloon Lake Village and Boyne City. Drive into Walloon and enjoy the best burger in town at the Junction Inn(ask for Al), or drive down & stroll the streets of Boyne City.

This property has been in our family for over 100 years.

What makes this cottage unique

The Mess Hall at Randall Point is a very unique cottage. Years ago the Mess Hall was constructed to serve as the kitchen house for the other homes on the property. kitchen fires were very prevalent back in the days, and the Mess Hall was built far away from the other cottages on the property. My mother and her family would have their meals prepared for them in the Mess Hall by the cooks and they would gather there to dine.

Our property is located on Shadow Trails Road 1/2 between Walloon Lake Village and Boyne City. Boyne City is where we do all our grocery shopping and some of our dining out. Just past Walloon Village is Petoskey Mi. Petoskey is a fun place to walk the shops, go to the movies and there are many places to dine there too.
