We are semi-retired and looking forward to the time when we can be at the cottage and enjoy a glass of wine as we watch the beautiful sunset. We fell in love with the communities of the barrier islands. Each one offers so much diversity and we can't wait to explore them. We think you will find this area a great place to visit, relax and explore.

Belleair Beach is a unique community in that there are no commercial properties nor high rise condominum complexes. The area in general has so much to offer from quiet sunsets on the beautiful beaches to the hustle of Tampa with all the sports and cultural events. There is always something going on of interest within a short drive. The area is served by two airports. When we fly we use Allegiant Air which serves the Clearwater/St. Pete airport (only 20 minutes from the cottage) and offers a great value. You are also about an 1-1/2 hour drive to Orlando and all the excitement offered there such as Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld.
Dragonfly Cottage is located in a quiet, tranquil setting where you can relax by the pool which is just outside your door or stroll down to the uncrowded beach. The cottage is conveniently located less than a mile from the Belleair Causeway that takes you into Largo which has many shopping areas including drugstores and grocery stores. There are also many great restaurants located just across the causeway such as E&E Steakout Grill, Bonefish Grill and Thirsty Marlin just to name a few. The cottage is just 3 miles from the excitement of Clearwater Beach and the evening sunset celebration at Pier 60. Heading south takes you to Indian Rocks beach and one of our favorite restaurants, Guppy's. There are trolleys that run the entire length of the barrier islands. If you like to ride bikes you are not far from access to the Pinellas Trail, a 37 mile greenway corridor linking beautiful parks, coastal areas and neighborhoods. The nice thing is that you don't have to go far to find most anything you are looking for.
