This two bedroom cottage has been completely remodeled inside with all new furninshing and appliances. The cottage will easily accommodate the entire family comfortably. Walking distance to Lake Michigan beach, marina, restaurants, coffee shop, and newly remodeled playground. The Crystal Lake Bike Trail is steps outside your door. This cottage is ready to stay and play!

Betsie Lake is right out the back door and there are two marinas within walking distance for charter fishing. The Betsie River is close by for all your fishing and kyaking desires. Frankfort, Elberta, Arcadia, and Empire, are all located on the Lake Michigan Shoreline. Manistee and The Little River Casino is only a short 25 minute drive from Elberta!

We also offer private guided flyfishing tours on the Betsie River, also, Kyaking or Canoeing available on the Betsie. Ask owner for more information.

About The Owner

We have lived in northern Michigan for 27 years, enjoying all aspects of the outdoors. We have two married daughters and three beautiful grandsons. We live in Traverse City where Tom owns a construction company called, Thomas Company. Rita has worked for the Traverse City Area Public School System for 23 years.

We both look forward to helping you experience northern Michigan at its finest. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information regarding the cottage, or activity suggestions for the area.

Why The Owner chose Frankfort

Elberta is one of the best hidden gems in northern Michigan. There is so much to see and do in a close proximity. Frankfort is a close, two minute drive around Betsie Bay. This is one of the most beautiful stretches of Lake Michigan you will ever experience.

The breathtaking scenery and picturesque sunset will have you coming back year after year.

Betsie Bay is known as one of the premier spots in Michigan for charter fishing.

The famous M-22 drive is just minutes from our cottage, and stretches from Manistee to the Sleeping Bear Dunes.

One of the few remaining Drive-In Theatres' in northern Michigan is a short drive from the cottage.

Perfect Place for our Frankfort Stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was just perfect for our small family. You can tell that it has been recently refurbished as everything was clean and fresh. Granted it's not beach front property but the Elberta Beach is just about a 1/2 mile away and is as nice as any ocean beach I've seen. Three great resturants are within walking distance-go to the Trick Dog Cafe for coffee and cinnamon rolls, hit the Conundrum Cafe for lunch and you can't beat the Cabbage Shed for dinner (my favorite-the pretzel crusted Walleye). The fishing was great-we landed 10 King Salmon averaging around 10 to 12 pounds each!

Great Cottage

We stayed here over the 4th of July week this year and it was perfect. The cottage is very clean and beautifully decorated. Air conditioners worked great (quite hot). It's on a quiet street in Elberta and just about 5 minutes from the busy side of the Frankfort beach and 2 minutes to the quiet Elberta beaches...we preferred Frankfort. We cooked every night - stove, refrigerator, grill were all great. We sat on the back porch looking out over the Betsie Lake and a deer and her two fawns came running home every night at about 9:30 p.m. Really nice. The cottage is on a quiet street in little Elberta (we had never been there) where there are several cottages being updated and others that are not. Owners were very nice to deal with. Highly recommended!

great little cottage with A/C

This quiet nice two bedroom cottage is conveniently located in Elberta with easy access to the bike trail and just minutes from the wide open Elberta beaches. Futon in one bedroom with A/C, firm Double in the other. One other A/C for the main area. Full bath. Owners very easy to deal with and prompt in all responses.

We stayed here with our two children. It gave us some space to spread out in. Quiet street in overlooked Elberta. Right on the bike trail to Frankfort and Beulah. Owners provided plenty of towels and bedding. Very nice remodel. Contact with owners was prompt and efficient. Very clean and well-maintained. We loved the Road House restaurant in Benzie.

Cozy place

Very nice cottage, we really enjoyed our time there. Very clean, fully equipped, made with love. We really felt like home. My 3 years old son told: " I want it to be my home."
Fishing was just great - lots of pikes in Betsie Lake!!!
Beautiful Crystal Lake's beach is just 8 miles away.
Hope we'll be able to come back next summer.
