Amazing indoor and outdoor paradise

This is a truly amazing place. My friends and I rented this cabin for a week for a sort of wholesome "bachelor weekend" before a friend's wedding. It was late May, but it was already warm, and the lake was great for swimming. By June or later in the summer, the water's probably incredibly warm. The owners aren't kidding when they say there's a ton to do in the area. It's a very short drive to the "High Peaks" region of the Adirondacks where the most popular hiking is, and there are some other, less used trails around Pharaoh Lake (around 10 mins drive) that are just as pretty but a lot less busy (we experienced both regions). The cabin itself is gorgeous, and really fulfills the fantasy of a "rustic cabin" without actually sacrificing any amenities. The owners clearly take really good care of it. It was comfortable for a big group of guys (we had 12 up there at one point), but if you just had a family it would probably be even better. The porch is huge, comfortable, and has a great view of the water. The kitchen and bathroom are surprisingly nice (I was expecting something rustic, but this was nicer than my actual house). The furniture was comfortable and fit in with the decor... I really can't say enough good things. It's spacious, pretty, a nice location, great swimming, great little boats (two kayaks and a canoe!), great dock, great everything. And this place would be GREAT for a couples weekend. I'm planning on bringing my wife up here as soon as I can find the time!!!
