Luxurious European Bed and Breakfast - 1000 sf very private suite

We just can't say enough wonderful things about our stay! The rooms were sparklingly clean and welcomingly decorated. All of our comforts and needs were taken care of. The location on the lake can't be topped with nothing but lovely scenery to look at. The landscaping and gardens are just gorgeous and beautifully maintained.

The breakfasts prepared by Anna were amazing! She and Bill are lovely people and really are the epitome of hospitality. Bill's map orientation to the area was incredibly helpful to getting to know the surrounding area.

We loved it so much we booked our next visit before we left. The only problem with our stay was that we wished we had stayed longer!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation stay at Sans Souci. Bill and Anna are perfect hosts. The breakfasts were to die for. Anna is a fabulous cook. And that French toast was out of this world! The bed sleeps very comfortably, bathroom was spacious, we liked the separate room to watch television, and we felt we were right at home. Gorgeous views from every angle with lots of privacy. Bill and Anna provided wonderful recommendations of where to eat, rent boating equipment and sight-see. We would highly recommend staying at Sans Souci. In fact, we've already started planning our next trip for this summer. Thank you, Bill & Anna, for blessing us with a much needed relaxing time.

Spent our 20th anniversary weekend at this wonderful B&B on Smith Mountain Lake and enjoyed every second of it. Unlike many other B&B's this one is unique in that there is some separation from the owners. But, you will likely find -as we did- that the owners Bill and Anne are wonderful hosts who we so enjoyed spending time with. They will feel like family by the time you go home. They took great care of us and went over/above what we expected.

The house is absolutely incredible and the views are breathtaking. So much to do around the area too - parks, hikes, wine trails, restaurants - we were never bored, not even in the middle of winter. And the breakfasts... my God the breakfasts!!!! Anne is a fabulous cook! Her asparagus soufflé really IS as good as you've read about here. Everything was served in a beautiful, private dining room where you are welcomed to linger over coffee while taking in the view of the lake. We are already planning another weekend in the Spring!

By far the best B&B we've ever stayed in and definitely the most beautiful spot on Smith Mountain Lake. You will NOT be disappointed in this wonderful getaway. If we could give this more than 5 stars we would.
