Villa 'Beli Mate' is located in the village of Sv. Martin, with a panoramic view of the old town of Buzet (1.5km) and the entire surrounding area. The house is very tastefully decorated in antique style with some modern elements for better functionality and comfort. In front of the house is a spacious garden with table in shadow and on the first floor is large terrace with an amazing view of the valley. Outside the 300 square meter garden, 7x3.5 meter swimming pool and barbecue area provide ample space for relaxation. Villa 'Beli Mate' offers you peace, privacy and security for your perfect holiday. We are located in center of Istria from where you can explore all the magic of peninsula. At your service is private small tavern where you can taste our vine and grappe. Buzet is the only town in Istria proclaimed as - the city of truffles. During the summer you can taste fruits that grow in our garden - plums, grapes and figs. Family Drascic welcomes you and wishes you a pleasant stay.

Buzet is situated on a hill about a hundred meters high, surrounded by defensive walls and bastions with a beautiful view of the beautiful valley of river Mirna. This expensive underground mushroom (white truffle), which has a reputation of containing aphrodisiac properties, grows in the valley of the river Mirna. Near Buzet, you can visit: 10 kilometers from the Buzet is Hum - the smallest city in the world, Closely are an old medieval castle Pietrapeloza, 15 kilometers away from Buzet is the famous town of Motovun, known for its Film Festival and for its widely known beauty, Spa with a 25 meter swimming pool is, children pool, fitness center, sauna...Nearby Buzet are many smaller towns in the mountains, and many beautiful old villages, such as Kotli and Mlini, you can enjoy summer swims every day in other famous tourist towns in Istria: in Opatija, Pore?, Pula, Rovinj, Umag, Groznjan.

We travelled at the begin of July from Belgium to Croatia with 4 adults and 6 children. Because of the warm temperatures at that time we have spend a lot of time at the new swimming pool.
The house is very big so it took some time to discover al places in the house :-).

The house is situated in a street among the locals with a very nice view of the old city of Buzet.So the privacy is a big advantage of this location, which is sometimes necessary with 6 young children ;-)

HAS IT ALL!!

My husband and I spent several nights at this delightful, quiet accommodation just a few minutes drive from Buzet. We can't say enough about the helpfulness and warm hospitality of Andrea and her mother Snjezana. Andrea speaks very good English and Snjezana speaks Italian (which we don't) and a little English but we communicated with our hearts! The rooms are private, charming and comfortable and our stay here was a perfect home base for exploring the many interesting sites in the area. We enjoyed sipping wine from the terrace overlooking the lovely view. We arrived without a reservation and a large group had just vacated. Andrea and Snjezana were welcoming and after we selected the bedroom of our choice, they cleaned the room and kitchen and made us feel so very at home. We were fortunate to have the villa to ourselves and would highly recommend it for a family stay! It was a difficult place to leave and definitely our favorite throughout our Istra wanderings.

Excellent house in the warm heart of Istria

We stayed two families, eight persons in all. If the kitchen facilities were a bit minimal for such a group, the internet connection vulnerable and one bedroom a room of passage, everything else was excellent: the house itself, the terrasses, the garden, the swimming pool and, not least, the view. The hosts are extremely friendly and will do everything to make you feel comfortable. It should have been mentioned in the description that the owners inhabit one end of the house, but since they are only there to take care of practical things and since they are very discreet, you do in fact feel that you have the whole house to yourself. We thank the owners for a wonderful week and warmly recommend their holiday house to groups of friends and families alike.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
