Andersen Camp is a cozy and private Maine getaway in the Western Mountains. The cabin sits on three acres of private land, and is situated on picturesque Black Brook.

You will be close to many outdoor activities, including skiing at Sunday River, Black Mountain, and Carter's Cross Country Ski Center. The Appalachian Trail and other scenic hiking trails are located within minutes of the camp. The camp is one mile from the International Trail System for snowmobilers, and ATV and equestrian trails can be accessed from the property. Excellent hunting and fishing oportunities are nearby.

This cozy cabin features full size bunk beds that can sleep four adults. The camp can also sleep an additional person on a rollaway cot. A full kitchen, with gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and all dishes and cooking pots/pans/utensils is provided. The full bath has a tub and shower. This property has a large yard for lawn games (croquet, badminton, etc.) and two hammocks, one at the brook. A deck with a gas grill is provided for outdoor dining, as well as a fire pit for evening campfires. Andersen Camp is designed for peace and quiet. For rainy days or winter days that are too cold to go out, the camp offers a television for watching DVDs.

Andersen Camp is in the heart of the Western mountains of Maine, and wildlife abounds. The area is a prime location for moose and deer sightings.

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful vacation setting in one of the most beatiful areas of Maine, this is the location for you.

First time Maine Cabin renters: delighted!

SERENE! This is the place to stay if you LOVE peace & quiet and need to relax. Short little walk thru the evergreen woods to sit at the soothing edge of the brook. Cabin is newly built and well suited our vacation needs with the full kitchen, bath & livingroom. Plenty of bedspace and room for our group. ATV &snowmobile trails nearby, Lake Richardson close to for fishing & water activites. We stayed late July & had a bug-free stay & enjoyed BBQ cookout suppers on the decks grill. Stock up on your grocery needs before arriving, as the nearby town's store/restaurant is limited; but their Lobster Rolls were very satisfying...I think my husband ate one almost every day! We even spotted Moose on our many drives to the Lake. WE already have booking plans for the Andersen Cottage for summer 2011 !
