Aloha, and welcome to paradise and our beautiful Hawaiian home. Unit 5-203 is a spacious (over 1100 sq ft + Lanai), air conditioned, non-smoking, luxury condo located in the Keauhou Gardens section of the prestigious Kona Coast Resort, a Five Star Gold Crown resort located on 22 beautifully landscaped acres, approximately five miles south of downtown Kailua-Kona.

Our deluxe 1-bed, 1-bth condo is located in building #5, the most secluded and quiet building at the Kona Coast Resort. This top-floor unit has beautiful wood plank, vaulted ceilings and fronts the 16th fairway of the exclusive Kona Country Club golf course.

This entire unit was renovated in 2010 at a cost of over $43,000. Our unit is now 100% carpet-free! As concerned owners, we realize that wall-to-wall carpeting is not a very good idea in tropical climates like Hawaii, because the high humidity leads to mold and odor problems. So, we converted all flooring in our condo to either new 18” ceramic tile or beautiful wood laminate. The floors not only look great but are much easier to keep clean, and guests will enjoy an environment free from carpet dust mites, mold and odors!

This unit also features all new furniture, most new appliances, two large wall-mounted LCD TVs in the living and bedroom, and a completely renovated bathroom with a huge custom-designed walk-in shower. The spacious bedroom comes with a new Calif. King size bed, and the living room has all new tropical furnishings, including a sturdy sofa, loveseat and desk area.

Our top-floor unit has fantastic sunrise and golf course views from the lanai, living and dining rooms. Our expansive lanai (over 300 sq. ft.), which faces east, is wonderful! This lanai is completely private, not accessible from the ground, and not visible from the other lanais at this resort! This is a wonderful place to enjoy a cup of Kona coffee each morning while listening to the numerous song birds, and watching the sun rise over the golf course and the mountains beyond.

In order to help our guests immerse themselves in the Hawaiian spirit, all the furnishings in our unit are based on a Hawaiian tropical theme. All furniture was hand selected by the owners, and is constructed of high quality cane and wicker materials. All wall decorations are based on a tropical or seascape theme. In addition, all appliances are high quality and relatively new, such as the ultra-quiet Bosch dishwasher and the Frigidaire Gallery Series 36” ceramic cooktop.

Our condo is oriented well to catch the Kona breezes during most of the year, but it can also be cooled by the ceiling fans or by using the state-of-the-art tri-zone central AC system, which is offered at no additional charge!

We also offer free WiFi during your stay. At most other vacation rental units guests must pay an extra $10 per day to use the WiFi service supplied by the resort, but our guests enjoy free WiFi access from our privately contracted internet provider. And the signal strength is always good since you will be the sole user.

As concerned homeowners we visit our Hawaiian home at least twice each year and are constantly making improvements. Our unit is very well maintained and reflects the care and attention to detail that you won't find in many other vacation rental units.

About The Owner

I am currently retired and live in southeast Michigan in a suburb of Detroit. My wife and I first visited Hawaii in 1984 and instantly fell in love with the islands. After many subsequent Hawaiian vacations we purchased our first condo, a wonderful 2-bed unit at the Kona Coast Resort, in 2002. In early 2010 we purchased a second 1-bed condo, unit 5203, at this same resort. I am pleased to be able to share both our Hawaiian homes with our guests. I spend much effort and time in maintaining and improving both of these beautiful units, so that our guests will enjoy staying there as much as we do!

Why The Owner chose Keauhou

We love the many amenities offered by the Kona Coast Resort, including a full-time activities desk, restaurant, two beautiful pools, 3 Jacuzzis, spa, and work-out room, all situated on 22 beautifully landscaped acres of land. The resort grounds are impeccably maintained - as good as any resort we've seen in any of the Hawaiian islands. We also enjoy the location, Keauhou, a quiet, upscale area close to downtown Kona (5 miles south), yet far enough away to enjoy a more quiet, relaxed atmosphere.

What makes this condo unique

We chose our condo at the Kona Coast Resort because we were very impressed by the extremely high quality of this resort and the units. We love the spaciousness of this 1-bed unit (over 1100 sq ft), and being a top floor unit it has beautiful vaulted wood plank ceilings that rise to 14 ft! We also appreciate the location of our unit (bldg #5), which is in the quietest, most peaceful section of the resort. Having a condo with an expansive lanai overlooking the Kona Country Club golf course is a rare treat. And being so close to a great snorkeling beach, many restaurants, shopping and world class golfing is simply fantastic!

Tom & Jacki have done a excellent job in maintaining their condo's, both the one & two bedroom units.
They have kept the units very clean & updated. We would highly recommend both properties as we have
stayed in both units. We are looking forward hopefully in the near future to stay at one of the units again.
Totally enjoyed our 6 week stay.
