Overview

Seabrook Island Villa Rental Photos and Description

1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 2-4)

Welcome to Seabrook Island --a safe, serene and beautiful place to spend your hard-earned days of vacation! As you pass through the gate you will see the equestrian center and the much used Lake House. The short drive to Pelican Watch takes you on curving roads bordered with live oak trees and hanging Spanish Moss. Upon opening the front door to the villa you will share what one reviewer wrote: “ a comfortable, beautifully decorated place with everything one needs to make their stay a relaxing one.”

This first floor beachfront unit is located just steps from the boardwalk that leads to Pelican Beach. The beach is smooth for walking and great for swimming. The tidal movement between high and low tide allows for easy walking miles in either direction to look for shells, dolphins gliding by and pelicans diving for their dinner. Or maybe one day you would prefer to just watch it all while you relax in a beach chair.

Our first level Pelican has many advantages especially its beautiful unobstructed views. You will at times want to enjoy this beauty from the comfort of the deck. In season the intense afternoon sun requires shade. Our deck has full protection plus a large overhead fan which guests use frequently.

Don’t miss a visit to Charleston – the #1 tourist destination in the US. A pleasant 40 minute drive from the villa this beautiful, historic city is a joy to behold! After a horse and carriage ride to learn the history from the knowledgeable tour guides the City is yours to explore! Art galleries can be found down each side street, antebellum mansions line Battery Street, and the recently renovated Slave Market is a haven for finding the perfect remembrance of your visit.

Return to the villa and enjoy a glass of wine on the deck while enjoying one of the many glorious sunsets you will experience during your stay on this awesome island. Thank you for choosing Seabrook Island and our Pelican Watch villa!!

Spectacular view

  • 5 of 5

We found this condo to be very comfortable, and in a perfect location. We have stayed at pelican watch 3 times, and this unit has had the best view of the water, and the sunset. Well equipped, we needed for nothing. Lois was extremely accommodating, informative, and easy to communicate with. Hope to make a return visit

Beautiful and pet friendly!

  • 5 of 5

This villa is perfectly suited for a relaxing stay at Seabrook. You are right on the Edisto River, which feels like the Atlantic as it is so vast and at the point where the river flows into the Atlantic. The tides are big at Seabrook (over 6 feet at times). So you need to plan your days according to the tides. The villa is comfortable, beautifully decorated and has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Lois was pleasant and quick to respond to questions. We cooked and ate in almost every night....the sunsets were beautiful, why would we go anyplace else. We had two teenagers with us who slept on the pull out couch and they said it was comfortable. Even though the villa is small, we never felt like we were tripping over each other. Best of all, the villa is pet friendly so bring along your well behaved family member to enjoy your vacation with you. We rented bikes and it is an easy ride to the beach club as well, easy to ride to Captain Sams Inlet at low tide to see the dolphins strand feed...a site not to be missed. We also brought a kayak and took it out a couple times. Again, pay attention to the tide schedule as it can make your job a lot easier or a lot harder. Seabrook is a nature lovers paradise. We saw dolphins, deer, birds, crabs and fish daily. We did purchase the amenity cards and did enjoy the beach club, but also enjoyed having the beach right outside the door all to ourselves.

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for the Cooper River Bridge Run weekend, and it was wonderful. The villa is beautiful, with the boardwalk to the ocean just outside the back porch. This is a pet-friendly villa, but it does not have a "pet friendly" feel, and that's meant as a compliment. It is lovely, tasteful, with beautiful furnishings. Our family of three was very comfortable here. It's a one-bedroom, but the pull-out sofa is very comfortable. And it has two full bathrooms, which makes it very easy to manage. We watched dolphins play every time we went to the beach. Lois was great to work with, and was prompt with all communications. Thanks for a wonderful long weekend!

Seabrook Island is perfect

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I just got back from a long weekend for our anniversary and we couldn't have had a more peaceful relaxing time. We went during the spring and the weather never got above 75 degrees...it was perfect as I have never been one for roasting in the sun all day. The room was fantastic and the view was incredible. Lois was super easy to deal with and everything went off without a hitch. The door key even worked the 1st time without me having to hunt someone down to re-magnatize it!! Imagine that..

If you like huge crowds, loud music, wild teenagers, getting an airbrush T-shirt, mini golf or doing jello shooters at a night club Seabrook probably isn't your thing. But if you like a nice quiet beach, friendly people, romance and relaxation this is definitely your place. Be sure and eat at the Red Sky Grill...we ate there every night we were in town because the food was so good it didn't make any sense to risk it going somewhere else. The best food I've ever had. I can go on and on about the whole Island but take my word for it, you will enjoy yourself tremendously.

Owner's Response: In addition to the above comments I would add the excitement of sharing the glorious sunsets from the deck of the villa. Seabrook Island provides safety and serenity along with its beauty. I thank the guest for putting it all into such complimentary words!

Great place to stay and relax

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our visit. The villa is a distance from the front gate but it is worth the drive. The sunsets were as pretty as the picture. The villa was very clean. We had one minor issue and the repair person was there in 30 minutes. We were worried about having 4 people there with one bedroom but it worked fine. The second bath having a shower was a big help. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and visiting with the friendly neighbors as they went by on the boardwalk. The beach was a short distance down the boardwalk. We can not think of anything we needed that the villa did not have for us. The owner was very easy to work with and always quick to respond.
