If anyone is looking for the absolutely perfect vacation spot in Albuquerque, look no further than this gorgeous casita. The location is central to everything and is stocked with EVERYTHING you could possibly need for your stay. However, the best thing about this casita is the owners themselves. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and are an invaluable source of local information and restaurant recommendations. Thanks again Jill and Marty for everything and we can't wait to come back in May.
Knowing that my husband and I would only have 3 days to be in Albuquerque, I looked for a place near Old Town because we have always enjoyed spending time there. Our daughter lived in Albuquerque until 3 years ago, and this was the first time we had been back on our own. The casita was exactly as the description stated; however it's hard to put words to the intangibles. Marty and Jill were very easy to be with, very knowledgeable about the areas in NM that we might want to visit, and so great about talking or leaving us to relax and roam around. The art work and the comfort of the little house helped us feel very peaceful when we were there. We especially loved the sun coming through the kitchen window first thing in the morning. It was a great time for us, and we would recommend this place to anyone. We hope to return some day for a longer stay.
My husband and I stood at El Casita from the 28th of June to the 6th of July. This house was PERFECT from the art on the walls, to the simplicity of the size. It had everything we needed to live out our week in Albuquerque, a place that my husband and I have decided to call our future home. What made our stay even better were the landlords, Jill and Marty. I have never experienced such dedication and kindness at any place we have vacationed like we did with both Jill and Marty. I mean, these two were just so beautiful to us! My husband suffers from multiple sclerosis, and they treated him so well. They didn't just treat us like tenants. They treated us like family. We literally felt at home. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience living in Albuquerque, NM. If we could, my husband and I would have stayed there forever!
By the way, I have to give the Land of "Entrapment" slogan credit to Marty who said it the first day we arrived. I practically cried on the way back home.
Exceptional casita, wonderful hospitality from Jill and Marty, great location. There is truly no place else we will consider staying while in ABQ. If the casita is not available when we want to come, we will change our travel plans. Thanks for everything, Jill and Marty.
The casita was the perfect size and was well stocked. The owners were very accommodating and hospitable. Convenient location to the airport and major highways. The neighborhood roosters and dogs were a bit noisier than we would have liked, but still better than the noise people make in hotels.
Forgive my attempt at bilingual rhyming but this little house is a wonderful place to call home. The owners are absolute gems, I don't think you will find people like this anywhere on VRBO like these two. Jill and Marty couldn't be more helpful or better organized to make suggestions for you or to give helpful tips. You are soon part of their family. I don't know which we'll miss more, New Mexico or the two of them. It has been an incredible month full of adventure. I actually don't want to give a good review because I am selfish and don't want too many people to find out about this wonderful place. You can walk along the canal or along the Rio Grande, there's a small winery nearby as well as the Center for Action and Contemplation. If you can walk two miles one way you can walk to Old Town or to the Botanical Gardens and Aquarium. Just a wonderful home!
