This 6,800 sq. ft. 8 room property was built in 2009 on 5 acres. It has a wide, expansive view of the Fish Creek Ranch below. With 5 bedrooms and a sleeper sofa available in the office this property can easily sleep up 12 guests.
The upstairs Master and Guest Master bedrooms and the lower Junior Master have king size bedding. These bedrooms also feature flat screen televisions with satellite and blue-ray players. The remaining two lower guest bedrooms have full size bedding. Both the Master and Junior Master bedroom have jetted therapy bathtubs and showers. A touch screen entertainment system is also integrated throughout the house with Ipod docking stations.
The Kitchen is fully equipped to entertain with dual ranges, ovens and dishwashers. Other amenities also include a microwave, bread warmers, beer cabinet, wine cooler and ice maker. There are 4 bar stools at the counter for seating while the adjoining Dining Room comfortably seats 10.
There is a Game Room with a flat television and blue-ray player. An exercise/mud room contains a treadmill and free weights. There are also mountain bikes available for use in the garage.
There's more than enough outside entertainment space available to the home as well. There is a large (20’x30’) upper deck for lounging and a lower patio is home to an 8 person Jacuzzi, a fire pit and grill. There is a private deck off of the Master & upstairs Guest Master bedrooms. There is a 3-car garage with ample driveway space.
THE LOCAL AREA
There are two restaurants in Wilson, a small convenience store, and an old style general store which carries a nice selection of groceries. Nora's serves a great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Full scale grocery stores, Albertsons and Smith's, are located 10 miles East of Wilson in Jackson. There are also a number of great dining locations in Jackson.
In the Summer and Fall you have access to outstanding wildlife viewing which includes elk, moose, deer, fox, and eagles. White water rafting and world class fly fishing are available on the Snake River less than 10 minutes from the house. The Teton Music festival at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is just one of many summer activities in the area. There are excellent hiking opportunities, hot air balloons, kid bungee jumping, rock climbing classes, horseback riding and twice weekly rodeo events.
Winter activities include the ski resort 7 miles North of town and excellent snowmobiling with heated suits. The scenery is unbelievable with snow cab or snowmobile trips into Yellowstone which is just 70 miles from Jackson. Dog sledding, winter ecological tours with lots of wildlife viewing are also local activities. Wildlife observed usually include moose, elk, deer, mountain rams, coyotes, eagles, bison & occasionally wolves. There is a National Elk Refuge tour with typically 5,000 elk that provides an up close and personal experience. The National Wildlife Art Museum is world class venue nearby and there are excellent art galleries throughout Jackson.
And if you don't want to get away from the house, quite frankly the view from the hot tub is breathtaking!

This is a second home for the O’Brien Family. They reside primarily in Tulsa, Oklahoma where Courtney O'Brien, Phd has a psychology practice and Tom O’Brien is in the commercial real estate business. The family loves to snow ski, snowmobile, hike, fly fish, float the Snake River, eagle watch, and view the elk, moose, fox, and other wildlife that frequent their property.
The Owner purchased this house in 2009
The property was acquired due to the fantastic view of the valley and the mountains, as well as the vissibility of the 460 acre Fish Creek Ranch that provides the picturesque view available from the property. This ranch has been placed in a perpetual conservation easement so there will never be any further development in the valley below.
The town of Wilson is 5 minutes away, the Jackson Hole Ski Resort and the town of Jackson are both 15 a minutes drive away. The south entrance to Teton National Park is 20 minutes away and the south entrance to Yellowstone National Park is 55 miles from the house. Major airlines fly into Jackson Hole which is a 20 minute drive from the house and Idaho Falls, which is a 90 minute drive from the house.
This property far exceeded my families greatest expectation. First and foremost the location is ideal and in Wilson, but near Jackson and Teton Village. The property itself sits on a hill overlooking a beautiful meadow and the sounds of cows calling each other for morning or evening fun filters thru the morning or evening air as you sit on a beautiful deck watching what God has created. The house itself is over the top in quality and would easily sleep 10 to 12 people as advertised. The amenities that you get from this house are too many to list and are shown on this site. What you can't see from this description is the quality of workmanship that this house offers. What is interesting is that this house could easy rent for much more than it does and be worth every cent of that increase. My biggest fear is that this property will be so attractive to people like me and my family that we'll have a hard time finding open dates down the road for us to return. To summarize my review i'd say Location, Quality, and Price are off the charts favorable to anyone who wants to rent this property.
This home was just what we needed for our family of 8 adults and 5 children (ages 2-8). The location in Wilson is perfect. The home is secluded from all traffic and we were filled with delight to see deer in the woods and yard almost daily. We enjoyed hikes, white water rafting, visits to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, Alpine slides, Tram ride, etc, and yet spent a LOT of time just relaxing on the deck back at the house. The home is large enough for everyone to have their own space. There are actually 8 bathrooms (two are 1/2 baths) and what a treat to not all be sharing! Wonderful accommodations all around. I would highly recommend this home.
We arrived on Saturday and stayed for a week. We had a great time during our stay. Love the decor and coziness of this luxury home. We had some wildlife visitors including a moose, deer, and a great gray owl perched in a tree on the property. Beautiful views, secluded but not too far from the town of WIlson. I would highly recommend this rental property. The hot tub was awesome with the cooler weather temperatures. Our kids even got to make a snowman! Plenty of space for a large party to stay together but still enjoy their own privacy. Absolutely love this home!
This home is beautiful and the views are spectacular. It has everything you could need for a large group. The caretaker was very helpful. I would recommend this home to anyone. We enjoyed the Tetons, Yellowstone, Snake River rafting and hiking.
We spent a week that included five families, some with children. The house is well equipped - each bedroom has its own full bath. There were even inflatable mattresses and a baby bed/playpen that are very useful for families although we were unaware and brought our own. The kitchen provided everything we needed to prepare meals for 10 or more. Jackson and all the attractions of the national parks are within easy reach, although I would have been happy just to sit and enjoy the view from the deck. I can't image a better place for a large family or group of friends to spend a vacation together. The only improvements might be replacing the outdoor grill which is showing its age and adding some window shades for those who like to sleep later than sunup. Overall, we highly recommend this house and look forward to returning some day.
I stayed with a group of 11 at this large, well-equipped house in Wilson, close to both Jackson Hole and Teton Village. Besides a few minor maintenance issues the stay was very enjoyable and the house offered plenty of space for everyone and nice amenities.
The reason for the one star review is the property's management. Nearly three weeks after we had returned home, our deposit had still not been refunded and there was no communication from the property manager as to why. I finally contacted the manager to inquire about the status of the deposit and was informed that the cleaning crew had found evidence of a dog and we would not receive our deposit and would potentially have to pay additional fees for breaking the rental agreement. We did not have a dog with us.
After several weeks of back and forth, the manager, who was slow to respond to emails and return voicemails, stopped communicating with us altogether. It took three months and the involvement of a lawyer to be re-compensated.
I'm sure there are other places just as nice without the hassle. I will not be recommending this house to anyone I know.
