Lisa Gilbertson purchased this cabin in 2010
Mora is a small town of 3,100 people 60-80 miles north of the Twin Cities with much to offer. Throughout the year, Mora hosts the 'Mora Classic Series' consisting of a spring canoe race on the Snake River, summer 5K & half-marathon, fall bicycle tour of 25 or 50 miles, and the world-renowned Vasaloppet Classic consisting of 13K, 35K, 42K & 58K races that draw international skiers and spectators. The summer is full of county fairs, farmers' markets, Crazy Days and plenty of other enjoyable activies. During the winter there are numerous snowmobile trails, ski trials and abundant lakes for ice fishing awaiting your arrival.
Many people describe the cabin as cozy and comfortable. From the moment you enter your getaway, you will feel the warmth and opportunity to unwind and relax.
My Review: This cabin is a must enjoy get-away . It has the 3'C's- cozy, comfortable and clean. We sat on the dock and fished, enjoyed the lake and watched a sunset that evening that was splended. (And no mosquitoes!!!)It has more amenities than a hotel room and much more affordable. We would recommend this cabin for a quiet get-away with some rest and relaxation.
I would recommend this cabin for Adventure Seekers, Age 55+,Girls Get-away,Romantic Get-away
We found the quintessential "up north" cabin in Peace of Pine. We arrived to a spotless cabin and the most breathtaking view of fall colors out the cabin windows. We spent a spectacular day around the campfire and were treated to a multitude of Trumpeter Swans on the lake. It could not have been more perfect. We are coming back!!
This is our 4th or 5th time staying at Peace of Pine, & we plan to continue coming to this cabin for a quick getaway from city life! The personal touches that Lisa adds to this charming cabin far exceed our expectations for a rental cabin! The little lake has it's own unique charm & it's so peaceful to just sit around the campfire & watch the beauty of the lake. The cabin is furnished with many unique items that make it cozy & feeling "like home" the moment you enter! We love this place & would recommend it to anyone looking for fun, less stress, & a very unique experience in cabin rentals!! Thank you Lisa!!
We had a wonderful weekend here...beds comfortable, very clean, and no detail left undone. She even leaves treats! Would definitely stay again.
Thank you to Lisa who made our stay very relaxing and fun. The cabin is truly what a cabin should be. It was on the chilly side a greater part of the week so spent more time in the cabin which was ok with us. It was cozy and warm. But many days we could still be outdoors and canoed, fished and took the paddle boat around the lake a couple of times.. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you, Lisa!!
We're from Belgium, Europe and for many years now traveling through the States.
Each year we try to discover another part of the States and this year Minnesota was one of them. So after a 2-week road trip through some of the Mid-West States we ended up in Mora. As I was, in the beginning of the year, browsing thru the VRBO website I stumbled on this beautifull cabin called Peace of Pine. And that's exactly what it is : a really peaceful place at a cute lake in the shadow of pine trees. For us it was our home far away from home. We really relaxed, did some home cooking and BBQ, enjoyed the electric pontoon and fire pit.
Lisa did everything to make our stay memorable with a basket filled with yummie goodies, a very clean cabin provided with all utilities you need and the WiFi was great to get in touch with our family and Skype with our (grand)children.
She even let us use her bikes and we really enjoyed biking in the neighborhood, even did a part of the Soo Line Trail. At the end of our stay we were totally relaxed for our overseas flight back home.
So thank you again, Lisa for having us in your peaceful cabin. Hope to come back one day (who knows wintertime must be great too)
We had a lovely time at Peace of Pine cabin. Lisa has thought of everything guests might need. The bed was comfortable and the location perfect. The lake was very quiet and we we were always alone on it--what a luxury! Bring Deet!
