Come sit back and relax with your favorite cool beverage as you look out over the dramatic and ever changing crystal clear sea. View more than fifteen different islands and cays, including the British Virgin Islands, Hans Lollik seen directly off the deck, and St. John to the far right. There's always something to look at and something new to see.
Villa Margarita is located within the gated community of Red Rock in Estate Peterborg; on the Peterborg peninsula, situated on almost an acre of ocean front property, providing privacy and seclusion just minutes away from the world famous and beautiful Magen's Bay Beach.
Enjoy the breathtaking ocean view from our private 10'x20' pool and sundeck, the great room pavilion, and every other room in the Villa. The living and dining room areas are surrounded by glass where you can open the doors and invite the ocean in to join you. Even the chef in the kitchen has a view due to the pass-through bar. Speaking of kitchens, you'll enjoy the amenities of this fully equipped kitchen offering everything you'll need to create fabulous vacation meals.
Dine inside by candlelight or alfresco under the ancient 'mampoo' tree amongst the beautiful and lush tropical landscaping of wild orchids, bougainvillea, aloe and frangipani.
With its striking and unique pavilion style architecture, Villa Maragrita focuses living and dining into one area, and affords the quiet and privacy desired for resting and sleeping in another. The terra cotta tiles throughout, wicker furniture, select hand carved teak furniture and Caribbean colors tastefully blend together for the true flavor of the Caribbean. The cooling trade winds and ceiling fans throughout keep the Villa comfortable and pleasant. Air conditioning is rarely ever needed.
The three bedroom suites are located in one of the pavilions offering retreats of complete privacy; a king, a queen, and two twins (convertible to a king). Each suite has it's own incredible view of the ocean through over-sized patio doors. Uniquely different themes blend the allure of the tropics with the comforts of home. The king and queen have their own bath while the twin room can access the half bath or share the queen bath through a separate outside entrance. Let the soothing sounds of the surf lull you to sleep with feelings of serenity and peace in this incredible island paradise escape.
Come enjoy the tropical breezes and swaying palm trees. Warm climate and water, music, tranquil beauty, lush lush Caribbean. It is waiting here for you.

Ray & Jennifer love the Caribbean and take great joy in sharing their home with their visitors. While both were born and raised on the west coast, they are more at home in the Caribbean. They love cooking, sailing, diving and sharing good times with friends. They are always delighted to share their favorite restaurant recommendations and local knowledge. Just ask!
Jennifer purchased this villa in 2002
We love the ocean and the trade winds, so we love having the windows open to the trade winds. The ocean is ever changing and beautiful at every time of day - even the dead of night. Everyone comments that the ocean sounds bring an incredible peace to the soul, we couldn't agree more. We especially like that the bedrooms are separate from the living area as it provides more privacy and leaves the bedroom area always quiet that mid-afternoon nap!
Beautiful waters and amazing sunrises out every window never cease to amuse the viewer. The villa is very private, comfortable and makes you feel at home. We can offer you payment by cash, e-check, or credit card to make your rental payment effortless.
There were six in our party - all family members attending my son's wedding. Although the villa is a little fr from some of the shopping and tourist attractions, one day on the road and we were experts at navigating the island. We quickly settled in, enjoyed the view and pool, and began enjoying the experience. Oh yes, we live in Honolulu so we're very familiar with paradise!
I do not normally write reviews but in this case....WOW!!! Jenniffer really picked a great home and equipped it perfectly for anyone who stays. The VIEW...the VIEW...the VIEW!! Every single room has an awesome view. The location is off the path of the main area of Red Hook and the other shopping but it is very close to one of the top 10 beaches in the world , Meagans Bay Beach. The owner is awesome and made it very easy to get everything taken care of and into the villa, Brian also was great. He is a very knowledgeable guy and can tell you just about anything you want to know about the island when he checks you into the home.
Everything was a 10! Would definitely stay again.
We have been coming to St Thomas for 4 years now and this is our second stay at Villa Margarita. Along with the gated community adding security as well as the gorgeous views and easy access to the beach this is a must stay place when visiting the islands. We feel like we have found our second home and Jennifer is a wonderful host by always being available when you need her before, during, and after your stay. See you at the same time same place year after year!!
My wife and I and our 14yr old daughter and a friend stayed at Villa Margarita for a week in March for my daughter's spring break. This was our second stay in Estate Peterborg and it was as good as out first.
The views from this house can not be topped in my experience. The set up is one area with the kitchen and a living area with TV and incredible views of
St. John and the British Virgin Islands and another area that holds all 3 bedrooms, each with the same view separated by a breezeway. There is a deck and narrow walkway that runs the length of both areas.
Peterborg is a peninsula. Our first stay was in a newer home on the Magen's Bay side which is a gorgeous beach and we really loved that view, but it was much hotter on that side with lots of mosquitos. The view from the other side as I mentioned was even better and the ocean breezes meant that we hardly saw a mosquito the entire week. This was a big plus.
While this home was a bit older than the other we stayed in, it was in no way out of shape. We loved it and you will too. The pool is above the house with even better views and the rooms being separated from the main house meant you can be as loud as you want without annoying anyone that was sleeping.
To get to the house is a bit tricky as is most in St. Thomas. It's in a gated area. You will get a code to get in the gate and there are 3 very sharp switchbacks that I had to stop and back up to get thru the first time. By the end of the week though I figured out how to navigate them without stopping in a 4 door jeep, much to the horror (haha) of my wife.
The location is great. We would get up, cook breakfast at the house, then head to a beach. We loved Magen's and Coki the most. Then we would head to the Old Stone Farmhouse, Mahogany Run Golf Club Grill (both very close). Or head over to Red Hook for dinner.
There is a nice grill and fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook at home. We were just too lazy and like getting out so we didn't.
I'm sure we will be heading back to Villa Margarita soon. Like I said we loved it.
Our greeter Brian was awesome too. Great guy. Will definitely have to meet him out for a beer next time.
Stay here. You will love it!
This property is better than the pictures, if that is possible. Very well kept, clean and easy. We had a great time and would go back in a heartbeat! The only advice I would give is that you need a GPS to navigate the area as there are very few street signs.
Villa Margarita was everything we could have asked for. The villa is well maintained and well equipped, with all the accessories needed to be a home away from home. The owners are fantastic and very attentive to their renters. They gave us some great advice and recommendations. The private neighborhood feels safe and is well manicured. The location is great, right by Maegan's Bay. As you drive in and out, you have breathtaking views of the ocean on one side and Maegan's Bay on the other. Every night and every morning we woke up to the sounds of crashing waves as each room had great views of the water. The master bathroom has a large window in the shower that looks out over the cliffs at the ocean. I recommend to anyone staying at Villa Margarita that you take a quick jaunt 1.5 miles further down the road into Peterborg to the very end where it open up to rocky cliffs and you have amazing unobstructed views of the bay and the ocean. Overall, our stay at Villa Margarita made the trip very memorable.
