Modern, Elegant, Beachfront Cottage with Stunning Ocean Views

My husband and our friends (who have a 7 month old) came to Moclips for a weekend getaway to enjoy a razor clamming weekend. Our stay couldn't have been better. The house accommodated our group, with plenty of room to spare, and we had everything we could possibly need.

Clamming was a breeze; just walk out the door to the beach and collect your yield for the day. The house is set up nicely so that sandy shoes and wet clothes can be slipped off and stowed in the entry way. And, our guys enjoyed being able to warm up in the sauna after a cold morning of digging clams.

Highly recommend! We'll certainly plan on going back.

Our family (myself, wife, and two sons) thoroughly enjoyed our three days at the Sunset Beach Carriage House. The house sits right on the beach and has breathtaking views from the master bedroom and upstairs living room (with each offering it's own small deck). The house is warm, comfortable, and cozy. It was very clean, well-maintained, and nicely appointed. We were surprised by three sunny (but cold) days in April, and enjoyed long walks along the beach gathering sand dollars, kite flying, and watching for whales (no luck). It was off-season, so the small town of Moclips was very quiet and there weren't many options as far as restaurants. Our go to place was Mill 109 in Seabrook, about 1.5 miles south. Next time we'll plan on cooking more at the house and taking advantage of the best dining view in town. Evenings were spent by the fire, reading, or watching several movies we brought on DVD. There was no cell phone reception, but I would list that as a plus! It was a wonderfully relaxing and restful getaway, which we are looking forward to doing again sometime soon.

We wanted to thank you again for making our annual trip to the beach house so special! Rain or shine you really feel like you have a chance to unwind & relax when you're there. Unlike other options, like Seabrook, you can walk out of the beach house and you are actually on the beach! There is no need to pack everything up to walk to the beach or drive! With two small children - this makes all the difference in the world!

The puzzle & little children's book were so fun for our son to discover. We took a day and drove to Lake Quinault. This is the first year we had an opportunity to do that! It was much closer than we expected and such a beautiful drive! We didn't realize that at Lake Quinault there is the "Valley of the Rainforest Giants." We got some amazing pictures of the World’s Largest Spruce tree and next time will plan on spending a little more time exploring! We also spent time bowling in Ocean Shores with our three year old. We head the entire bowling alley to ourselves! On our way home our little boy was so excited to stop and eat at "The Rusty Tractor." It's an adorable little place on the way out to your beach house. For a child who loves tractors it was a must see!

If others are planning a trip to the Coast I would highly recommend your beach house...but I almost selfishly, want to keep it our little secret! :) With everything we were able to see and do we asked our three year old what his favorite part of the trip was...he exclaimed - the beach house!
