"Die Villa bietet alle Möglichkeiten für einen entspannten und vielseitigen Familienurlaub oder eine größere Gruppe von unternehmungslustigen und sport- und kulturbegeisterten Freunden. Besonders die Lage der Villa mit dem Blick von der Terrasse ist wunderschön. Die Einrichtung und Ausstattung der Villa ist gut und entspricht den Angaben im Internet. Wir haben uns in dem Feriendominziel sehr wohl gefühlt und können il Gobbo sehr weiter empfehlen.

Review Title : 233260 - "Paradise Found"

"Paradise! That is the only word I can use. We shared the house with 2 other families. There were 14 people in total (6 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 tweenagers and 4 kids). The house provided plenty of space and privacy. There was something for everyone. There were many outside activities including the pool, hot tub, deck chairs, swings, a playhouse, pingpong, horses to pet, and trees to climb. There was never a moment when anyone said, "I'm bored." We loved the dining areas - 2 outside and 1 inside that fit everyone. Loretta was kind enough to arrange a cook to come in and make fabulous dinners for us. The price was quite reasonable considering the amount of people and quality of food.
The owners came every morning to be sure we were comfortable.
The house has so much character. It felt warm and homey. The kitchen was very well equipted and had lots of the basics for us to use. My only issue was the lighting was dim for reading at night. If you like to read, bring a book light.
We were able to do several daytrips -Pisa, Florence, Lucca. They were convenient. I recommend that you take the train intothe Il Gobbo was the best part of the whole trip. I can't wait to return!"

Review Title : 232928 - "Best Vacation We've Ever Had!!!"

"Our week in Tuscany began with a warm welcome from Guiseppe and just got better! Il Gobbo is a beautifully maintained villa with a stunning view over Lucca and the surrounding hills. We enjoyed sipping wine (thoughtfully provided for us from a nearby vineyard) and watching the gorgeous sunsets from the state-of-the-art hot tub! The kids had a fabulous time feeding the horse, swinging, swimming and playing ping pong (sadly, the grass was still growing on the soccer field)! The property is very large and was perfect for our dog since it is fenced.
The villa exuded warmth and authenticity with its beamed ceilings and antique furnishings. We were thrilled to have a dining table that would seat all of us (14). Antonia came twice to make us delicious Italian meals, and she made so much food that we had left overs!
We went into Lucca several times and delighted in bicycling around the ramparts. Both Florence and Pisa were a short drive, but we abandoned our plans for any other sightseeing to remain at Il Gobbo and soak in the Tuscan sun and serenity!
We felt as if we'd experienced Tuscany like a native--so much better than staying at a hotel or resort!! We've already inquired about coming back in the summer...
