This home has a very open floor plan. The living room is comfortable and large, with wooden floors, Shabby Chic sofas, a flat screen TV, and fireplace. Sliding doors lead out onto a beautiful wraparound deck, with stunning views of the Malibu Mountains. Sit out there in one of the hammocks to read, relax and just bird watch – or enjoy a glass of wine sitting at the bistro style table and chairs. The gourmet kitchen is bright and complete with dishwasher and all the cookware, plates and glasses you could desire. The romantic master bedroom is situated downstairs and features a king size bed with Shabby Chic duvet and pillows. There is a wood burning fireplace and ensuite bathroom. Walk through sliding doors onto a second deck and watch the sun rising and setting in this tranquil retreat.

There is a large loft-like music room, complete with upright piano, making this house ideal for musicians, and a sun room with a full size day bed. Special requests considered.

This romantic artists cottage is steeped in atmosphere and nature, yet close to all the modern conveniences and amenities; situated in the Santa Monica Mountains, only 8 miles from the Malibu beaches and Malibu’s exclusive restaurants and shops – and a mere 3 miles from Calabasas Commons, where there is a Cinema complex and lots of shops and eateries – and a morning Saturday farmers market. An ideal vacation spot or creative location for a writer or musician to complete a project.

This home is a primary residence and is only for rent for short term:weeks & Months. Your party should be responsible and care for the property with minimal impact.

PLEASE NOTE: This property is not available for weddings, receptions, parties, film shoots or daily rental.

PLEASE NOTE: A 2 WEEK MINIMUM STAY IS REQUIRED.

This lovely lovely home is tucked away...I fell asleep on the fluffy porch daybed next to the giant oak tree off the main space.....the light was trickling thru the Oak leaves, there was a heavenly breeze, and the quiet was astounding. i highly recommend this very clean space. Also, we got a lot of enjoyment out of the swing in the living room. The place makes you feel like you can fly....wide open rooms, extremely clean, a FANTASTIC kitchen (!!!) and close to amazing nature trails. i felt as if I were vacationing in a European countryside. A must do.

What a special Retreat! I enjoyed my peaceful and cozy hillside home... almost like a home away from my home. thanks for having everything so JUST RIGHT. Ill be back agin next year. I will miss the lovely views and the colorful sunsets.
