My husband and I scheduled this rental almost three months out. Who knew a tropical storm (Beryl) would decide to pay the area a visit the same time? It was supposed to rain everyday. Even if it rained, we were still at the beach. The condo is exactly as the pictures depict. King size bed in the master with plenty of drawer space, and hangers to hang upour clothes. 5 of our college aged kids shared the other room, the bunk beds had plenty of room to store their suitcases underneathe the bunks when not in use. There are front loader washer and dryer in closet. great to keep up with clean towels! When we arrived the condo seemed rather warm, we gave it some time to cool off. But had to make a call. Once we were able to get in touch with owner, we had someone out to fix it that afternoon. (It seems it had something to do with the outside unit.) There are plenty of DVDs to watch. board games in the cabinet in living room. We had a walk to the beach, but it was pleasant. the nice thing about being in the tennis unit was avoiding all the noise around the pool area (if there was any). it was nice and peacefully quiet where we were. Wish we would have taken tennis racquets! We stayed one week. There is a Winn Dixie right up the street( with a RedBox just outside of it) Hungry Howies pizza around the corner from it. The next Day we went to the Fort, Castillo de San Marcos, and took a carriage ride. We took the kids to see a movie, two different nights (MIB3 and Snowwhite). Epic Movie Theaters. We had GREAT Cuban sandwiches at La Harencia Cafe' on Aviles St downtown. We had Mexican for dinner one night at Casa Maria in St Augustine Beach, its in the Publix Shopping Center. My husband took the kids deep sea fishing, chartering 1/2 a day with Endless Summer II(last minute because the party boat, sealove, wasnt going out that day), & a 10 hr the next day with 'Knot Tied Down'. Both out of the Conch House Marina. They caught so many fish on the 10 hr charter, they were getting tired of reeling them in. Close to 100, keeping close to 70 of them. Walmart is a little bit further than WD and Publix, but they did have some souviner items there. We also took the kids bowling at the bowling alley on Friday night. Cosmic Bowling. we got FRESH locally caught shrimp at the Publix, $9.99/lb at the time. VERY tasty! The condo was great. the location was great. it was accessible to many things, sites. where we were was more family oriented. Clean & well maintained. Highly recommend!
