Photos and Description of the Magnisia/Pilion vacation apartment rental

In spring of 2004 our house was ready. It is built in typical Greek style and is furnished with modern functional furniture. From all windows and terraces you have a nice view of the Pagasitikos Gulf (towards Volos), the village Lafkos or the green hills.

Shopping: Next to the smaller shops (bakery, butcher, supermarket, post office etc.) in Lafkos you will find a bigger supermarket in Argalstik (8 km away).There is also a market every Saturday. The city of Volos gives many shopping possibilities. There are only 2 Lidl and other supermarkets, several times during the week a big and cheap market takes place.

How to get there: Flight to Thessaloniki, from the airport with a rent car (205 km on highway, than 56 km on street) in about 4 hours to the house on good motorways. Flight to Thessaloniki from there by a fast bus to Volos – than go on by bus, taxi or car. Flight to Skiathos, than transfer to Platania. Go on by bus , taxi or car the last 10 km to the house. With the ferry to Igoumenitas or Patras. Again it is possible to drive through the former Yugoslavia.

The apartment on the ground floor has two bedrooms (one double bed and one bunk bed), another sleeping place in the living room, one bathroom, one full fitting open kitchen with a 2 flamed hot plate, a refrigerator and freezer, coffee machine. The big living room has a beautiful view. To this apartment belongs a large southern exposure terrace with a pergola. This apartment is suitable for up to five persons.

On the little sickle formed peninsula, Pillion or Pelion you will find all of Greece's landscape. Green vegetations, nice beaches, secret bays, wooded mountains which are inviting for skiing in winter, also original villages show the picturesque of the region. Our house is 56 km away from the capital city of the region Volos, on the outskirt of the original village Lafkos. To go to the cool market place with its restaurants and little shops, is it about 750 meters, the next beach (Melina) is 3 km away. The house is very suitable as starting point for walking tours.
