EXPERIENCE WITH OWNER

LOVELY HOME AND I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY.

HOWEVER A WINDSTORM PICKED UP THE UMBRELLA OF THE DECK AND CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE SAME. WE NOTIFIED THE OWNER OF THE INCIDENT AND HE DEDUCTED AN OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT FOR THE UMBRELLA "REPAIR COST " FROM MY DEPOSIT. I CONTACTED HIM REGARDING THIS EXORBITANT BILL AND HE AGREEDED TO REUND A PORION, EIGHT MONTHS LATER AND HAVE YET TO SEE A REFUND. MY COMMENTS ARE BASED SOLELY UPON PRINCIPLE.

Beautiful home and amazing views!

  • 5 of 5

The home was spacious and beautiful . It had everything we needed and wanted in a vacation home during Christmas . The three different levels were perfect to fit 6 adults and 2 small children with room to spare . The upstairs master had breathtaking morning mountain views. Outdoor hot tub. Area around the house perfect to sled around smaller children. Quick drive to town and to the slopes . We didn't want to leave !

AMAZING House!!!

  • 5 of 5

My family rented this AMAZING house between Christmas and New Year's 2014! I can't say enough good things about this house. I will start with the fact that the layout and location is perfect for adults and children. The main floor has an amazing kitchen that looks out to an absolutely beautiful view of the top of the Stowe ski resort. The house was immaculate when we arrived. All the bedrooms are very spacious and clean (comfy beds)! The location of this house is perfect as well. It is a short drive to the main town and we were able to enjoy some amazing dinners at the local restaurants. The drive to the ski resort was only about 15 minutes with the morning "traffic". We skied 5 of the days that we were there so the next best thing I want to mention is the hot tub! Our family loved this too!!! I would highly recommend this property!!!!

We had a wonderful stay celebrating Thanksgiving. The house was immaculate. It provided everything you could need and more. The kitchen was well appointed. The house was very spacious. The view was beautiful. We had snow for three days straight and it was just stunning. Location is perfect close to restaurants and stores. Would highly recommend this home.

Beautiful Stowe Location

We had an exceptional stay at Zeph's house. The house was immaculate, modern and spacious. The landscaping and grounds were beautiful. The location was great - near everything in the area. We would return in a heartbeat.

Remarkable home. Visually stunning, while still cozy and amazingly equipped.

  • 5 of 5

My family traveled to the Couching Lion from Georgia to meet up with our New Englander family members over the New Year. All of us were astounded by this home. The views from here are beautiful and the home is a wonder in and of itself. Even with gorgeous, soaring beamed ceilings, it remained cozy and warm. Thoughtful use of energy-smart construction such as radiant floor heating and foam insulation was clearly employed with a wonderful outcome. We encountered unseasonably cold, below zero temperatures (frigid, even according to the locals) but we were always content inside the home. The kitchen, according to the chefs in my family, was the best equipped they had ever seen. There is a fabulous buck stove to snuggle up next to and a large living room for family board games and movie watching. The open floor plan on the main floor allows for great flow and conversation. Then, there is ample room in the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms for sleeping and relaxing. The home is incredibly clean and Zeph and Beverly are warm and easy to communicate with.

Due to the polar vortex we encountered, we only skied two days. Still, we were delighted with the variety of things to do nearby. The kids enjoyed sledding down the hill behind the elementary school for about 30 mins until toes began screaming. The tour of Ben and Jerry's was a hit with all. Our top two favorites, though, were the glass blowing demonstration at the local gallery and the tour of the Trapp Family Lodge. We were pleasantly surprised by the in-depth history and great storytelling we enjoyed at that Lodge. I think that even those who are not big Sound of Music Fans will like it.

We highly recommend this home for a memorable vacation any time of year!
