Great Place to stay with friends and family!

We have stayed at the Painted Lady for two years now and had two totally different but equally enjoyable experiences. Two years ago we stayed the same weekend, at the end of March, and had more snow than we knew what to do with. Okemo was 100% open and we (five families with kids) stayed and had a great time. This year, a horrible one for snow, we were really worried about what we would do if we couldn't ski. All the families went for a great hike up the back side of Okemo and then spent time in the house and in the hot tub. The house is great because it is large and people never feel cramped but at the same time it has great spaces for every one to gather and eat or play cards, or watch tv by the pellet stove. We had one minor problem with no hot water when we first arrived but a call to David and Beth and within an hour they had a repair man on site and the problem fixed. Things can happen any where you stay and the difference between good and great is how the owners respond. The house is also very close to the mountain (1 min. in your car) and on the shuttle route. You can also walk out the front door and you are right in down town for shopping or eating at some fun places. Over all just a great place to stay in Ludlow!
