SPECTACULAR OCEAN AND MARINA VIEWS - PEÑA MAR OCEAN CLUB - FAJARDO, PUERTO RICO

What a beautiful home... even better than the photos. We spent 3 nights here while in Puerto Rico. Rosa was so kind and waited for us to arrive even though we were a few hours late due to a mix up with our rental car, and she made us feel very welcome. The condo was imacculate and spacious, with plenty of space for my husband and I and our three children. The beds were clean and comfortable with nice linens. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the balcony enjoying the views, and eating our breakfasts. The kitchen was great to work in with plenty of fridge space, and everything we could possibly need. Rosa provided us with a cooler so we could pack lunches and cold drinks on our day trips, and there is a big grocery store near by. The washer and dryer were very handy, especially after a few days of exploring the area, and going to the beach. The security gaurds were professional, and we had no problems entering the lovely clean complex. Our kids really enjoyed trying out the different pools, especially the one with the water slide, and we often were the only ones there. There were games in the cupboard to play in the evening a nice big tv with plenty of channals and the wifi worked perfectly. Over all it was a wonderful stay that far exceeded our expectations. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend it!

My family and I spent an amazing week here. My wife and I had the master bedroom, our 3 kids had their room with 2 sets of bunk beds and my inlaws had their own bedroom. I had more family that came along and rented another unit in the complex and I have to say that we defintely won when it came to amenities and layout so kudos to Rosa for all that she has done in her unit. My family was a bit jealous of everything we had including the most amazing view from the balcony where I had my coffee and breakfast every morning :-)
We were about a 45 minute drive from the airport but close to everything that we planned on doing. BEAUTIFUL complex with a guard at the front, 3 pools including a kiddy pool, jacuzzi, slide and most amazing view from the infinity pool. Basketball court, weight room with free weights and machines and a super clean complex. It seemed as if we had everything to ourselves. Most of the time, we were the only ones at the pool and the only ones in the gym.
The unit came equipped with everything we needed for the week (minus food of course). Pots and pans, dishware, linens, towels, coffee maker, cooler, soap, tp, cooking seasoning, TV with DVD player, wifi and cable. She also has a binder with tons to do in the area and on the island. The complex is a 5 minute drive to Walmart, other supermarkets, restaurants and all types of shopping. About 20-25 minutes from the Rainforest (el Yunque), Luquillo Beach and the Kiosks in Luquillo (a must do). Only 5 minutes from the ferry port in Farjado that take you to Vieques and Culebra (also a must do). Also a nice bar and restaurant that we walked to one night.
We didnt do the Bio Bay but it only about 5-10 minutes away as well.
I will, without question, stay here again. My kids loved it as well and my wife and I.

We got there late and bedraggled, and had to call for directions a few times (they don't go in for street signs and regular addresses in that area!), but Rosa and Angel were there patiently waiting for us. We instantly liked them, and felt they were genuine & trustworthy.
The condo has every comfort. The beds are comfy, everything seems clean, and all the linens are nice quality. The kitchen is well-appointed, with good quality pots, pans, utensils, dishes and glassware.
There were plastic pillow covers on the pillows, which I didn't like so I removed one. But the others didn't mind them at all.
We had been a little concerned about security in Puerto Rico (our son, who lives there, had a few things stolen and his car broken into). Pena Mar felt very safe, with electronic gates and a 24 hr. security guard. We left the front door open when home in the daytime (for air flow) and never worried.
The bedrooms have air-conditioners, which we used at night to sleep more comfortably and for white noise.
You need a car there. Fajardo is more a region than a centralized town - very spread out. There was no place near Pena Mar to get groceries or go for a morning coffee. But there are good restaurants within a mile a two.
Recommend El Yunque rainforest. Hike the trail to the waterfall. Plan to get in the water - fun!
Also recommend scuba diving with Sea Ventures in Marina Del Rey (also called Puerto Del Rey, I think).
Rosa and Angel made all the difference to how much we enjoyed our week there. We left the place clean and in good shape, and our deposit refund came a week later. Nice folks!
