Enjoy the best of Loreto Bay in this beautiful Mexican Villa just steps from the beach. Ideally located in a resort community with golf, tennis, swimming and hotel pool bar overlooking the Sea of Cortez.
You can swim, kayak, fish and snorkel to see a colorful array of marine life. Or just choose a book from the community center's library and relax under a beach front palapas with a margarita.
The villa has an inner courtyard with a soothing fountain, painted tilework as well as other architectural details that capture the essence of Mexico.

I love swimming, kayaking and snorkeling in the Sea of Cortez and Loreto Bay has the perfect climate to do this!
I live in San Francisco, but always look forward to my trips with family and friends to Loreto Bay, where its sunny and warm and my neighbors enjoy Loreto Bay's beauty as much as I do.
Christina Crawford purchased this villa in 2007
I learned about Loreto Bay from some friends who also built a home here.
This was our first trip to Loreto--and we will definitely be back! The location of the Villa is in paradise and, unlike Cabo, Cancun and Cozumel, does not have the roar and drone of jet skis. In addition, it is relatively inexpensive. We have rented many VRBOs, so that we have the latitude of preparing our own meals to save on the travel budget. Restaurants are inexpensive and the food so outstanding, we rarely prepared a meal in our 10 days in Loreto Bay. Christine was extremely helpful prior to, and during the trip--forwarding information on restaurants and events taking place in Loreto. The Villa was well-appointed and comfortable. Manuel at Torres Sport Fishing was an excellent and reasonably priced captain. We will be back.
the property is very nice. The master bed and bath are very comfortable and the shower is great with lots of hot water! The location to the lap pool is very good.
The only issue was continued problems with the TV. It really only worked one day. The local web rep worked on it but with little success.
Convenient to the golf course and local restaurants and the car rental agency!
We've rented this unit many times but usually in the summer months. October in Loreto is perfect. The air temperature is warm as is the water temperature. We spent most of our time snorkeling, fishing and exploring the many beautiful islands.
The house is well furnished and the kitchen is complete with all the appliances and utensils one would need. We especially enjoy the barbecue on the upstairs deck and having a full sized washer and dryer.
The location is close to the beach and the gorgeous lap pool.
This is the second time that we've stayed at this home and we loved every minute. The surrounding mountains and flower-filled landscaping were just as beautiful as before. I loved watching the pelicans dive into the Sea of Cortez for fish and having margaritas at the swim up pool bar!
Our villa was well furnished and very clean and the location in the Founder's neighborhood of Loreto Bay was perfect -- just a few steps to the beach, 3 pools, Cafe Corazon (for the best coffee), hotel and Wine Cellar.
We enjoyed several alfresco meals on our rooftop deck as well, which has an outdoor kitchen.
Can't wait to come back -- thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful villa!
Loreto Bay, 10 min drive south of Loreto, is a great neighborhood concept of community for those escaping the winter months of home. We are 2 couples that rented a house in this community for 6 weeks, with the idea of staying within the neighborhood an additional 5 weeks if we chose. The houses are very nice with 1 bdrm up and at least 1bdrm down with ensuites. We chose this house because it offered internet, TV and an outdoor grill with counter & sink. (these were our 3 priorities) When we moved into the house there was NO outdoor kitchen at all and in its place was a tiny BBQ grill with a tiny propane tank that
lasted 2 dinners. We were continually buying new tanks. The TV was never hooked up to any service BUT there were about 100 old DVD's if you wanted to watch reruns. We compared the VRBO listing and yes the house is yellow & similar but it's NOT the same house as in the listing. I must say the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils but the two living room wooden settees with dusty cushions were very uncomfortable and needed a good vacuum. The alternative was the wooden kitchen chairs with cushions. I wrote the owner about the misrepresentation of homes and our dissatisfaction with no proper sized grill, and no TV. We complained to the property manager and he attempted to work with the owner. At one point she was perhaps getting us a proper grill, that gave us hope and maybe we could make this work and stay longer, but nothing came of it. The place really needs a good scrub. Both bathrooms and bedroom closets still had makeup, lotions and clothes in the drawers as if someone was coming back soon. We had to find a place for all this stuff so we could move in. There was only one upper kitchen cupboard for groceries that was loaded with stuff so had to pack up that as well. We couldn't wait to leave this place for our next house that was a totally different and pleasant experience in this great neighborhood.
We were a little nervous renting a villa outside of a resort in mexico, & the second we arrived we knew it would be perfect for our family. We have "tweens" and the downstairs bedroom was perfect… enough separation and privacy that they enjoyed. I loved the upstairs master bedroom suite and deck. It is just as described / shown in pictures.
The villa is steps from Cafe Corazon, which is great for coffee & breakfast each morning (loved the friendly staff!) Nopolo wine cellar also has a great selection (strong margaritas!) and is close to the pool that our kids like to swim in, so we stopped in for drinks and a small-plate dinner one night which was great. I felt comfortable letting my kids walk to the market to buy a treat each day and felt it was very safe overall and enjoyed it.
Security is friendly and helpful. Ask Francisco in the security office for assistance with cabs if you are taking taxi's. He'll make sure you get a good taxi driver. Jesus & Francisco were our two favorite drivers and both spoke good english. Jesus also gave us a little driving tour around Loreto on our first drive, took us to the Super Ley (grocery), fish market, the sunday market, etc and would wait for us and be "on-call" for our return drive back to the villa after a few hours in town to eat and wander. The taxi worked out just fine for our family, & we discovered that driving isn't bad at all and most of the visitors drove here without fear. Be sure to ask Jesus for his number so you can call him yourself - it's about a 10 min wait for him to arrive from town.
The pools are stunning, beach walks, clamming for chocolate clams was great, kayaking was breathtaking. If you kayak around the point, you can see all kinds of fish and starfish, puffer fishes, tons of birds. So much wildlife here, it's amazing.
Dolphin Dive / Vive Loreto tours (same company/owners) was great for a trip to see the gray whales on the pacific side. I highly recommend it as a MUST SEE if you are there Feb-April. Land and sea eco tours set us up with a snorkeling trip & boat ride to Coronado island, and had a nice experience. We had a little issue with them not having the right size wetsuit for one of my kids, so we rented one for the day from Dolphin Dive easily.
One recommendation for the owner, a set of beach/pool towels in the villa would be great. Also, the master bedroom bedsheets were quite scratchy. Bed comfy, but the sheets not so much.
