My wife Carletta was born and raised in Fredericksburg. Her relatives were among the early settlers and were land and business owners from that time on. I was born in San Antonio, Tx. My ancestors were with the founders of Blanco, Tx. Carletta and I are proud of our Texas roots and our friendly Texas attitude.
Pat Smith purchased this cabin in 2010
Carletta and I inheirited the property on Town Creek. Being a builder I thought it was the perfect spot for a unique gueat house.
Two blocks from Main St. with lots of shopping, resturants, and wine tasteing. Close to 18 hole golf course, tennis, hiking and rock climbing, Airport that can handle up to small jets. Great sighting and wildlife. fourty five min. from Ssn Antonio and one hour to Austin.
We had the most incredible visit. Our first time to Fredericksburg to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversery. The house was gorgeous and far exceded our expectations. Thank you for a wonderful trip. We can't wait to come back.
My girlfriend and I stayed at this cabin during a road trip of the hill country and we were definitely not disappointed. Located within walking distance of downtown, this quiet cabin is perfect for couples. It has a huge jacuzzi tub and shower for two. The bed was VERY comfortable. The owner, Pat, even brought us over a BBQ pit so that we could cook out. We were even fortunate enough to see a few deer drinking from the creek in the backyard.
Our stay at the Firefly Cabin was a perfect romantic getaway for my girlfriend an I. We absolutely enjoyed the cabin. Definitely will be returning for future stays. 5 stars!
We loved this cabin! It is beautiful, very comfortable and located just a short, nice walk away from Main Street. The space is perfect for a couple and the outdoor sitting area was enjoyable. The pictures barely illustrate how nice this cabin really is. My only suggested improvement would be to provide a better internet connection.
Very nicely appointed "cabin", perfect for a couple. We were in town to attend a wedding reception and loved sitting outside and enjoying the creek and the wildlife that visited it. The owners took very good care of of us, including a late night "house call" to address an issue with the cable TV (NBA Playoffs).
I'd highly recommend this place for any couple looking for a quiet getaway.
The Firefly guest house is beautifully appointed with a comfortable king sized brass bed, a gas fireplace with attractive stonework, a large jacuzzi tub and beautiful artwork adorns the walls. We felt right at home and didn't want to leave on our last day. It is located a block off Main Street with a running creek behind--we saw deer from the back patio. I will rent here again.
We were hesitant to book this cabin as it did not have any previous reviews (we later found out that this was a newly built property), but we are so glad that we did! The location is perfect for shopping on Main Street, and the cabin itself is beautiful! We were looking for a quiet getaway from work, kids, and stress--and this was exactly what was delivered. The cabin was immaculately clean (extremely important to us), cozy, and comfortable. We will never stay at another location in Fredericksburg--thank you to the Smiths for our lovely stay!
