I was not impressed with the place at all, we visited in the fall which the weather was cold but at least not rainy. That being said, the river was extremely low so there was no great views of the water or fishing to do. The river is close, the home is somewhat secluded and a bit difficult to find, definitely do not recommend arriving at night as we did. We all had Sprint mobile carrier and had no service what so ever. The place seemed cold and very basic. There was no sheets or pillowcases on the bed and no blankets, which is not how the images are depicted on the website.The owner was not available, we had difficulty getting the place warm and also there were no towels. Basically if felt like camping, not comfy, expect to rough it. Also, for whatever reason the far back lower bedroom had a very cold chilling feel to it...again, would not recommend the place.

Great location! Quiet and Relaxing! Close to everything. Clean and had everything we needed. Owner was easy to work with and friendly. Would definitely return!

Great Time!!!!

We had a great time here! My kids are 7 and 4 they were in the river or running around outside having a blast! The people are so friendly and the scenery is breathtaking. The river is just a short walk from the cabin which by the way was super cozy. Thank you so much Richard we will be back!

Great weekend getaway!

My friends and I all enjoyed staying at the Frio Verde Cabin. There was everything we needed there and more! We brought our bikes and rode down to the river and the nearby country store. We also rented kayaks nearby and went down the river for the day. Everything was so convenient! Especially in the kitchen, since we cooked all day! There are also 2 grills, so the BBQ-ing was awesome! The fire pit outside of the house is great for sitting around, sharing stories, and of course making s'mores! All the beds were nicely kept and bathrooms were tidy. Not to mention the awesome living room space! I would definitely come back to this vacation rental!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Our Stay at Frio Verde

I have stayed more than once in Frio Verde. The cabin is roomy, clean and in a nice quiet area within walking distance of the Frio River. I would recommend this vacation rental. I especially enjoyed the time spent there in the "off" season being fall and early spring. Lots of wildlife, deer, racoon, squirrels and birds to observe close to cabin.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
