I registered for a large conference at the convention center and decided to take some extra time to enjoy San Diego. We did not rent a car, but that was no hindrance to our enjoyment of the area. We took a comfortable walk to Balboa Park to enjoy the zoo one day and then enjoyed Coronado Island another day. There are some terrific restaurants close by - Taka was a great sushi restaurant that I would highly recommend. If you like Italian cuisine, try Asti Ristorante. If you are an IPA craft beer lover, do not miss the Coronado Brewing Company if you visit the island.
The unit was outstanding with an incredible view of Petco Park. If you are a baseball fan, you will not want to miss sitting up in the "bleachers" on the roof. The Padres were in town during our visit and it was a very unique experience. The unit is very clean and well-equipped. It is perfect for two people, but it was not bad the three people in our party. The owners were outstanding, providing good communications before and after our visit. They provide a welcome letter chock full of information in advance of your visit. There is a small balcony that was perfect for enjoying coffee in the morning and wine in the evening...nothing like enjoying the sounds of the city! We did not use the BBQ grills on the rooftop patio, but it certainly was a popular activity. Check in was very good - the unit manager met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the unit and the building amenities.
The unit is a tremendous value in the heart of beautiful San Diego! I would give it my highest recommendation and will certainly recommend it to friends and family that plan to visit San Diego.
My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon and we did not want to leave! It is very conveniently located near shops, restaurants, Coronado Island, etc. We rented a car for day trips to La Jolla and other areas of San Diego and the huge underground parking garage was great. We walked to the water for a short boat ride to Coronado Island and rented bikes once there. We walked to restaurants at night but a few night we just grilled up on the roof and watched the game. We could listen to the game and see alot of action from the balcony, but the roof deck is so cool! There are bleachers facing the stadium, but also a few sofas under a roof for when it started to rain and a huge TV also playing the game. Besides a great location and an awesome roof deck, the apartment itself was great. Everything seemed new and well cared for. Plenty of sunshine coming through and a great balcony for people watching. We wanted to move in!
We stayed at this condo in March 2013. Very clean, modern and well-equiped condo. Bed comfort was excellent and when we needed it the air conditioning also worked well. Roof top offers excellent view of the Petco Baseball Park. We did not rent a car, but this condo has indoor parking. Lots of various types of restaurants closeby and the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter is just 4 blocks away. We would gladly stay here again. P.S. Balboa Park with its 15 museums and its Can Diego Zoo are worth a week by themselves. We also recommend the Old Town Trolley (Hop on and hop off) at $36.00 per adult. This condo gave us everything promised plus the welcoming assistance provided by Colleen and Tovik. We were close to events in the Convention Center, great restaurants, interesting neighborhoods, and all the other attractions of a great city like San Diego. This was our first experience renting through VRBO, and the Libermans made it so easy and enjoyable! We hope to repeat in the future.
My wife, 5yr old son and I stayed in this unit and LOVED every second of it. We were a super-close drive to the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park and Seaport Village. SeaWorld was a quick trip down the highway. But honestly? We loved hanging out in the condo just as much. We'd come home early and cook dinner with groceries we picked up a few blocks away, crack open a bottle of wine and enjoy the sites and sounds of being 16 floors up in a beautiful city.
Tovik and Colleen were easy to reach, though we didn't have any troubles with our stay. We'll definitely want to come back!
I had a really pleasant experience for my first time in San Diego. I attended a conference at the convention centre and this apartment was so handy to all the places I had to attend meetings at. The room is very tastefully decorated. The gym and wireless were real game changers for me. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
I even got a glimpse of my first baseball game from the building.
Can't wait to get back in couple of years.
