10 MINUTES FROM THE PEACE BRIDGE!

We enjoyed ourselves enormously staying in Bertie Bay. The house was as advertised – it’s equipped with all the things you’d expect in a fully furnished house. The layout of the house is good and there’s a lot of privacy. The owners of the house live nearby and met us upon our arrival to give us the key and answer any questions we had. They were polite, never intrusive and honest as they returned the full amount of our security deposit after our stay. The house is set back from the beach and has a large spacious yard with trees, swings, etc. I especially appreciated the wireless internet because I could check in at work and confirm things were running well in my absence. We spent time equally relaxing around the house and enjoying the water sports. A big plus for me was the available biking and being a history buff, visiting nearby Fort Erie. I’d stay here again for sure.

If you are looking for rest, relaxation, peace, beauty, and tranquility--this is the perfect summer getaway. I stayed in the master bedroom, and it was so peaceful and quiet. Every morning, I would awake to the sounds of birds singing and other wonderous sounds of nature. The beach was relaxing, and since the beach is nestled in a cove--it was sunny and warm. There is a sand bar which is good place for young children to swim. The bike path is minutes from the house which makes it ideal for jogging, walking, and biking. One of my favorite past times was to take a patio chair down to the water and read my book by the water's edge. Since the bay is very calm and protected, it is great for kayaking, canoeing, and sailing. The house has a very large screened in porch which makes it ideal for entertaining family and friends. The house is very spacious, and there are actually two houses which are joined together by a screened in porch. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and pots and pans which makes it easy to cook and prepare fun summer dinners. I would highly recommend this lovely beach house for your summer vacation. The house is perfect for a family vacation or a couple seeking a romantic getaway. At the end of my stay at the beach house, I returned home rested, relaxed, and rejuvenated.

We have been renting this beach house since I was a small boy and spend at least one week there every summer. I learned to drive on the back roads and loved walking on the beach and hiking out to the stone pier. A couple of years ago, we started a challenge to swim around the Windmill Quarry, which is a short bike ride away. The porch is great. We spend all of our time on the porch, and in the hammock. I love canadian bacon!
