This comfortable 2 bedroom 1 bath unit is just 4 blocks from the center of Old Town Scottsdale. The unit has a remodeled, fully equipped kitchenette; dinette table and chairs; and new granite countertops in the kitchen and bath. The complex has a laundry room downstairs with coin-operated washers and dryers. One Queen bed in each bedroom, and a pull-out bed in the living room.

Walk to all the shops, restaurants, clubs, and galleries in Old Scottsdale. It's a great place to make your headquarters for trips to Spring Training, the Fiesta Bowl, Insight Bowl, Phoenix Open, etc. Equipped with high-speed wireless internet. Close to the airport. 13 minutes from Sun Devil Stadium. Less than a mile from Giants Spring Training. An easy drive to Phoenix and Glendale.

The nightlife in Old Town is incredible, especially during Spring Training or whenever a huge event like a major football game or golf tournament is in town. Our unit is comfortable and convenient. Hotel Valley Ho is one block away. Old Town Tortilla Factory is 3 blocks. You can dine and drink in fun restaurants and walk home safely to rest and unwind. Fabulous shopping.

About The Owner

We are Mike and Michelle, husband and wife. We have lived in the unit ourselves and maintain it ourselves. Originally we are from New York and Connecticut. We now live in Phoenix and have lived in the Chicago suburbs. Mike is retired from CBS and Michelle works for Kohler Co. We have two dogs and we frequently take them for hikes on the mountain trails in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Glendale. Our daughter lives in Scottsdale and is a licensed real estate agent. Our son is an attorney in Washington D.C. We like to get away occasionally to nearby Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon, and Flagstaff.

Why The Owner chose Downtown Scottsdale

We loved Arizona and especially Old Town Scottsdale, and we wanted the unit to live in when we first moved here, and then for rental. It was like when you go on vacation and you say to your husband or wife, 'Wow, I could live here.' Then you do live there and you walk down the street and tourists from all over the world are there enjoying the shops and restaurants practically just outside your door.

Nine-tenths of a mile from Scottsdale Stadium for Giants Spring Training. 1 mile from Fashion Square Mall. 13 minute drive to Sun Devil Stadium at ASU. 18 minute drive from Sky Harbor Airport. Beautiful view of Camelback Mountain from the living room window of the unit. Convenient drive to all the other attractions: University of Phoenix Stadium, Chase Field, Phoenix Open, casinos, hiking, zoo, Desert Botanical Gardens, etc.

Good Location, Quiet Pool; Reasonable Value for the Price

This condo is fine for what it is; an older property that has had a couple of upgrades to make it bearable but is in a really good location. You can walk a few blocks and enjoy the upscale shopping, art galleries and restaurants/bars of Old Town Scottsdale or a baseball game at Scottsdale Stadium, or just take a ride in one of the street-legal golf carts (for tips) to save your feet. Short drives to Tempe, Mesa, Phoenix, a bit longer to Glendale, Surprise, Peoria, etc., but very doable. The old-style pool is not huge, but big enough; the water temperature was perfect; with steps and swim outs. Very relaxing atmosphere. No hot tub. Upstairs unit, no elevator, but a ramp up to the second floor. Covered parking space. Mature orange tree, full of fruit, smelled great near the unit.

One shortcoming for us was that it is not a non-smoking unit, but that was my fault for not asking. There was more sleeping room than we needed, with a trundle bed in the living room, but only one bathroom might make it hard for more than the 4 adults we were. The bathroom had a nice new shower head (complete with instructional video!) good hot water and updated granite vanity, but it's all still wedged into a single small bathroom. The unit only has a few grounded plugs; most are only two-pronged, including those in the bedrooms. Only one TV, but there is cable and wi-fi. Excellent library of best-sellers and interesting books, if you're a reader. Simply and inexpensively furnished, but quite adequate. Quiet neighborhood allowed for good quality sleep, too!

Bottom line: A reasonable unit for the price and location; better if you're not sensitive to the smell of smoke. Owner Mike was great to work with, and fairly represented the unit. It worked fine for two couples. Do not expect 5* accommodations here, but you're not paying for that. We had a great time in Scottsdale. We would go back, for the location and the price.

Owner's Response: We feel that this is a well-written and mostly accurate review of the unit and thank our guest for submitting it. The one issue we have with the review is that the number one rule on the list that all renters sign before occupancy is that there is to be no smoking inside the unit. Although this rule may have possibly been broken at times, we do everything possible to maintain it and rent it as a non-smoking unit.

Fun in the sun

I stayed in a 2bdrm unit with firm beds and nice bathrooms and a great view of Camelback Mtn!

The pool was cool. The living room spacious and there are many options for outdoor recreation.

A great place to kick back with a drink on a hot afternoon. I really enjoyed my stay here and

the owner was a very nice guy.

Great place, great location!

This is a fantastic place located right in the heart of Old Town. I stayed here for five months. I liked it so much, I kept extending my stay. You cannot beat this area for safety, accessibility and proximity to all that Scottsdale has to offer. The owners are wonderful people who did everything they could to make my stay wonderful. The unit is clean, well-provisioned and in a charming, lovingly maintained retro-chic building. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and the comfy sofa is great.

You can walk to anything in Scottsdale or catch a free ride on the Scottsdale Trolley a block away. No need to worry about being overserved and having to drive afterwards when you stay here.

There's a sparkling pool on the property that's heated during the winter so bring your swimsuit. I spent a fair amount of time enjoying this pool and the sunny days. The living room has a view of Camelback Mountain. You can have your morning coffee outside and the enjoy the beautiful Arizona mornings.

I would recommend this property to anyone. In fact, I liked it so much, I got my own unit in the building.

If you stay here, you will not be disappointed.
