Guestbook comments from the owner
Antonella was a super host; she was there to meet and greet us from an early arrival in from the US. She organized a car/driver to pick us up at FCO and that went seamlessly. The driver was waiting right outside customs and was also very friendly! Antonella ensured we were able to get connected to her Wi-Fi service prior to her leaving. The entire apartment was spick and span. It is very well laid out with plenty of storage. The location was ideal for us. We were visiting our daughter who is studying at the American University of Rome and her apartment was just a 10 minute walk, or one could hop on the tram for one stop and be there in minutes. The tram to the city is very convenient (3 to 4 minute walk) and runs on a very frequent and reliable schedule. Downtown Rome is about 15 minutes away on the tram. The Roma Trastevere train station to/from FCO airport is also just a few minutes from the apartment. Just 8 euros to the airport o/w. There is a supermarket on the next street, another great convenience. We didn't use any of the nearby restaurants, but had some amazing experiences in the restaurants in the area of Trastevere close to the river. Some amazing food at very reasonable prices, with great service. For summer travelers the apartment is air-conditioned! We positively recommend this apartment; it is super value for money and Antonella is a wonderful host! Come, stay, enjoy!

I'm a communication manager for a private corporation. Me and my husband really loved to restore this apartament thinking about people looking for comfort and relax during their holidays. We travel frequently all around the world with our three little children and we know what it is important to have during an holiday and it is about feeling like at home (a cozy home!)!

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2004

We bought this property falling in love for the view and we liked the neighboorhood where live many families and where you can find all what you need just around the corner. Very friendly people, market and shops everywhere and a pefect connection to the historical center to avoid use the car and to became crazy in the traffic jam. We lived there (the apartment was a part of our house) along 5 years and we missed it so much..but the family growth asked to look for an apartment suitable for a big family of 5!

Free Internet WiFi connection. Possibility to have transfer by private car from/to the Airport.

Antonella was helpful, friendly and easy to communicate with. The apartment was very clean and she even left us a laptop to use during our stay! It's close to the train station and bus stop which made it easy to get where we wanted to go. The big flea market was just down the street. I would definitely recommend this apartment when visiting Rome!

LOVELY AND COZY APPARTMENT, GREAT LOCATION!

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I spent the first week of May in Rome and had excellent stay in this apartment. The apartment appeared as it was advertized on the pictures, perfectly clean and very well equipped, great to stay for a couple and good enough even for family with a kid, if want to fit in economy budget. The area is historical district, but not crowded with tourists. All the public transportation within 5 min walking. Owner is nice young lady, willing to help at any time. Thanks a lot, Antonella and thanks to your neighbors, We will definitely recommend this apartment to all my friends and relatives.

COZY APARTMENT FOR 2

  • 4 of 5
The apartment is very modern, very cozy and very convenient in Trastevere. The apartment is located away from the tourist areas so it was nice to live like Romans. The kitchen is extremely modern and functions perfectly! The internet WIFI is a little slow (but that is to be expected in Italy). The apartment is perfect for a couple on holiday and it's very easy to catch the tram number 8 into centro storico and the Trastevere train station is practically next door. With the windows closed you don't hear the trains and during the night the trains don't run anyways so they never affected our sleep. Everything is within walking distance (including the supermarket and bar) or reachable by tram (the tram comes almost every 5 minutes it seemed). This was a smarter and more comfortable choice than a hotel!! We really enjoyed our stay!!

Owner's Response: Thank you Courtney for your kindness and for your enthusiastic feedback! We have since last september two Wi Fi networks that give the opportunity to guests to choose the best connection for their device. Anyway guests can use the computer available in the apartment automically connected to the network. I'm most grateful to you cause you talked about the experience like real 'romans' and this is what exactly i hope the guests feel when they live in my apartment and in this neighborhood very vibrant!

EXCELLENT APARTMENT

  • 5 of 5
My partner and I loved staying here. We had coffee and breakfast on the balcony every morning. It is right by the train station making it very easy to get to the apartment from the airport. It was also very close to the tram making it very fast and easy to see all of the wonderful sites. Even though we had our own technology the computer they provided was of great use to us. It was much faster that our own devices. The apartment was very clean and cozy. Antonella and Patricia were both wonderful and pleasant people.
If you are a light sleeper like myself, I would recommend bringing earplugs because you may be able to hear the train in the morning without them. My partner didn’t wear any and he had no problems.
I definitely recommend staying here and would like to stay at the apartment the next time I visit Rome.

PERFECT PLACE TO STAY CLOSE TO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

  • 5 of 5
The apartment was perfect for the two of us. We were able to make dinners, wash our clothes, and plan day trips (using the wireless internet). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good. The shower is a bit small, but works fine. One small issue might be that the hot water heater is too small. Other than that, the location is great. We could take the train, tram, or bus very easily, or we could just walk to the heart of Trastevere easily as well. And having a grocery store across the street was perfect. We saved a lot of money by going there and buying food for the apartment.
Also, Patricia and Jesse were very nice and really helpful. If we had question about how to get somewhere, they were happy to give us that information. Patricia even made us some delicious pasta! The owner bought an iron for us too. That was not expected. Hopefully we can stay in the apartment again!

NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE

  • 2 of 5
My husband and I stayed in this room from April 8 to 18. The property was very clean. The neighbourhood was nice and the public transportation very good. The room is part of a small apartment that was divided. The photos in the ad aren't quite accurate. There is no table with lamp beside the hide-a-bed (which is in dire need of a cleaning). The table has disappeared and the lamp is 6 feet over your head sitting on top of a shelving unit. There are no bedside tables or lamps. You have to balance the lamp on the arm of the hide-a-bed in order to read. The picture of the view from the balcony appears to have been taken with a telephoto lens but we didn't really care about the view. It was fine as is. It was the effort to represent the view as something it is not that surprised me..The kitchen, which has all new appliances, is not very well equipped otherwise. There are so few dishes and cutlery that you have to keep rewashing dishes. It reminded me of summer camp: this is your plate, spoon and cup for the next 10 days. There was one dull paring knife. There was one small sauce pan and a small frying pan with the non-stick material peeling off. In Italy we did not have a pot large enough to cook pasta in. While the wonderful neighbours made every effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible I did not feel right asking to borrow their dishes and pots.. They are fine people. On our arrival night after attempting to get wifi my husband tried to explain to the landlady that he had to have the advertised wifi for work. If we didn't have wifi we would have to go elsewhere. He was only stating a fact. After a conversation on the telephone my very patient husband passed the phone to the neighbour saying "I can't talk to this woman, she won't let me speak". The neighbour managed to calm the landlady and later that evening my husband was able to activate the wifi. Later in the week there was a problem with the heater which the landlady's husband attended to promptly. All in all I learned a good lesson: look VERY carefully at the photos and if the ad says 1 bedroom, thats all there will be, a bedroom. In spite of the cleanliness, neighbours and location, I would only recommend this room to a single or couple at a much reduced rent. In all fairness, this room is not good value for the money. I would not recommend this property to a friend or relative.

Owner's Response: I appreciate all the reviews especially when they help to improve our work that we do every day with care, patience and courtesy. Let me also say that the guest is always right and must be supported in all its needs, but not when he says things do not founded on truth and moved by other reasons. I will try to let understand to readers of this review two things: why this review is so different from the others that follow and why there is so much negativity. These guests came into my apartment and even before unpacking have been turned on their PC that did not see the signal from wi fi. They called me using the phone of person working with me and they told me that they didn't pay their stay 'cause the wi fi did not work, talking with a very rude tone. Although I had reassured them that the problem would be solved in a few minutes they insisted to don't pay. I tried to keep them calm also if they were too much angry. However after 10 minutes we discover that their computer had problems with the wi fi and using the computer available in the apartment there was no problem with wi fi! I think 'cause i told that they they were able to don't pay just looking for another apartment, obviously with my help, they developed a strong negativity towards the apartment that is suddenly transformed into a monstrous place where they anyway decided to spend all 10 days of their stay. If it was so bad why not change? Maybe if it was for free would have been beautiful?! Now i believe it is important for future guests to have the correct information: 1. My property is a small place (as description). In the other apartment well separated lives person working for me and therefore at your disposal for any inquiries just knocking on the neighbor home. 2.The table opposite the bed was recently replaced because it was broken by a new big red chest that is also a container to provide additional space to store the guests belongings. We have put two small lamps that can be moved and a previous guest talked about in a review so enthusiastic for the convenience of being able to move anywhere. 3.The view from the balcony is wonderfull! 4.The kitchen is fully equipped, there's everything you need and all is clean! This is my truth. I leave to the patience of who will read these and other reviews to understand the quality of my property and I am sorry 'cause it's really depressing to work so hard to ensure quality and then have back a not honest feedback.
