What makes this cabin unique

Why Dandridge in the hills of East Tennessee? For starters, Dandridge is a remarkably quaint town and historical treasure. It is the second oldest established town (since 1783) in Tennessee and was named after Martha Dandridge Washington, the wife of the United States’ first president, George Washington. Some of the earliest businesses in the town were taverns and catered to traveling businessmen and tourists. Additionally, Dandridge holds ties to the Civil War and the great frontiersman Davy Crockett. But, beyond its rich history, Dandridge is an inviting town with rolling hills, mountains, great lakes, domestic farms, wildlife and all four of the changing seasons. It is also minutes away from area attractions such as the famous DollyWood theme park, dinner theaters, and historic hiking trails. Last, but not least, Dandridge provides ample opportunity for hunting, fishing, boating and shopping.

Because of all this and more, we fell so much in love with the town of Dandridge that we decided to purchase our very own log cabin complete with majestic views of English Mountain and Dandridge Lake. Remodeled in 2007 from a small farm house to a large-scale oasis, Sandy Ridge Cabin is an unique home. It comes with upstairs and downstairs fireplaces, modern amenities such as flat screen TVs, a theater room with Bose surround sound, and high speed internet, and is decorated with just the right touch of sophistication and country charm. In fact, it’s just too good to keep it all to ourselves. Let Sandy Ridge Cabin be your home away from home, too. Whether you’re simply looking for a comfortable place to crash with the kids after a hard day’s work at Dollywood or just a paradise of rest and relaxation, Sandy Ridge Cabin will undoubtedly meet your every need! It is warm and comfortable, cozy and familiar. So, come on in. Welcome home!

Guestbook comments from the manager

The cabin was perfect! It is close enough to Pigeon Forge for shopping and a short drive for me and the guys to take a hike in the Smokies up Alum Cave Trail to Mt. LeConte for some camping and backpacking. The mountains in front of the house were covered in snow, and the ladies were able to see where we were on Mt. LeConte from the front porch even though we were at over 6000 feet elevation. There are enough restaurants close by for any taste-BBQ, Chinese, Japanese, and some great burgers. The theatre room, plasmas, and fire pit sealed the deal for me while my girlfriend loved the dining area, kitchen, and master bath. :) We had a great time! I can't wait for our next trip up to enjoy some lake fun and good times on that front porch. Thank you Knights! Jason R.

The Dills Family from Jacksonville, FL

Staying at the Knight's Cabin was more then we expected. The pictures online are fabulous but being a Realtor with Watson here in Jacksonville, I've learned that pictures do not always show a true perspective of the square footage or condition of a property. However, in this case, every picture is accurate. My family and I rented the cabin for 10 days during Christmas 2013. We had always talked about doing something for the kids and putting them in a situation to see snow and after working hard this past summer; putting up some savings, our goals became a reality. The cabin is just within reach of local groceries store and movie rentals in Jefferson city and Sevierville to the right off the cabin main drive. To the left off the main drive is access towards Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The web site was excellent in showing ALL the attractions nearby. I was surprised at how much because we had never been to either places before. The cabin is HUGE! Our family ran through it like kids in a candy shop seeing the beauty of the home and the size. I loved sitting on the swing and watching the sun go up, drinking coffee watching the sun go down on the rocking chairs and seeing my children enjoy one another's company again. NO video games! LOL! We found ourselves enjoying the outdoors once more and playing family board game night. My bigger kids enjoyed the pool table and the movie room. The furniture is very comfortable and in fact, I'm thinking of picking up a similar sectional. ;) The cabin is well stocked so that picking up a few groceries for the week was tolerable. Can you believe it? My vacationing husband even cooked the entire week breakfast! I need a Kitchen this size and with the same storage and design if that's what it takes. Overall, this cabin is 5 STARS based on location, convenience, quality, value and overall accommodations. We will always remember our Smoky Mountain Christmas Vacation 2013. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Knight for providing such a great opportunity to families around the world to be blessed literally and with the opportunity of rekindling of Family Values and Relationships.

P.S.

Of all the cabin rental places I called; only a hand full returned my messages or picked up. Of the few that did, YOU were the only one that spoke of your property with Passion and Confidence of it's value and quality. I have and will continue to recommend your property to everyone I know or come in contact with.

Awesome!

  • 5 of 5

We have been visiting Pigeon Forge area for well over 20 years and have rented many cabins, but this is by far was the nicest and cleanest we have ever rented. The pictures on line do not really do the property justice. The view and the front porch are spectacular. We have rented other cabins through vrbo and because of difficulty getting the owner to resolve issues had decided not to rent from vrbo again, however, we need a cabin on short notice and decided to take another chance when we found this property. The owner could not have been more cooperative and available to answer our questions. we would certainly recommend. We would without reservation recommend this property to a friend or relative.

Absolute peace!

  • 5 of 5

Our family has been vacationing in TN for more than 10 years. This was our first experience at Sandy Ridge and it was by far the best experience we have ever had! The cabin is wonderful! Not only is it huge, it is spotless! They take great care of their property. It is beautifully decorated, rustic yet sophisticated. It has high end finishes and luxurious linens. My family felt right at home from the time we arrived. Our son enjoyed the theater room while my husband and I enjoyed the porch swing looking out over the mountains. The location feels remote, but it is actually very convenient to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Dandridge is a very quaint, sleepy town. We rented a pontoon from a marina just minutes up the road. The service was wonderful and we enjoyed the day on the lake. The owner was so nice and easy to deal with. I would recommend this cabin to anyone! We look forward to more visits to Sandy Ridge!!

Excellent!

  • 5 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandy Ridge Cabin. The home is immaculate, well equipped, and as beautiful as portrayed. We were impressed with the size and cleanliness of the home. Robert was extremely accommodating and helpful before, during, and after our stay.

We loved the time spent playing pool and watching movies in the theatre room. The views from the front porch were incredible! We got to watch a storm roll in across the mountains which was beautiful. We also rented a pontoon boat just a few minutes from the house and spent a fun day on the lake!

We would highly recommend this beautiful home and hope to return for another relaxing vacation! Maybe next time we can stay longer! Thank you to Robert and his family for sharing with us!

Great vacation in Tennessee

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time on our recent trip to Tennessee. We loved everything about the cabin - the setting was idyllic, it was in great condition, and had a lot of amenities. It looked exactly like the pictures we saw on the website. We had a lot of fun in the theatre/game room especially with the billiards table. The bedrooms were quite comfortable. The kitchen/eating area was a large, open space that was great for entertaining. We also made use of the outdoor grill which was a nice amenity. We took advantage of being so close to Lake Douglas and rented a pontoon boat - highly recommended. It's close enough for an easy day trip to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Another fun nearby attraction is the Bush Bean Museum. We would definitely rent this cabin again.
