Steve Matiaco owns Forest Hills Builders and has been building in the valley and on the coast for twelve years. When he came across this property, the view was what caught his eye. He purchased the property, cleared a portion of it and carefully constructed the home where it would capture the panoramic view of Netarts Bay and the surrounding mountains. In 2013, Jim & Dawn Fazio of Moscow, Idaho, joined Steve as partners. Steve manages the property and his family are the primary grounds-keepers. All enjoy the peaceful setting, panoramic views and nearby coastal features.

If you are a first-time visitor, you will especially appreciate the notebook in the kitchen. It shares some of the owners' favorite places to visit nearby, complete with detailed directions. There is other information ranging from how to dig clams to who to contact under any circumstance. And enjoy walks on our private, half-mile nature trail through a mature spruce and hemlock forest. Guide booklets are in the house for your use.
Great vacation house, well stocked kitchen for a thanksgiving feast. Beautiful property lots of great walking, hiking trails nearby, crabbing in the bay as well. Great oyster place just a little ways down the road to buy fresh oysters. There were 8 adults that stayed here and we had plenty of room to eat and play games downstairs, however if it's raining sideways like it was for 3 days, the only place to watch football or a movie was up in the loft and there is only one couch, no chairs and no food or beverage allowed up there. It was not easy for 8 adults to watch tv, I would suggest the owner get a couple of sofas as there was plenty of room for them. Also would have been nice to have a coffee table in the downstairs living room. If the weather had been nicer I guess we wouldn't have needed those amenities but hey it's the Oregon coast, it rains...
Even more wonderful than we expected it to be! Breathtaking views and beautiful landscaping. Spacious and attractive layout. Well stocked kitchen and cupboards. Plenty of room for our large group. Extra tables and chairs in the garage. High chair and kid chairs. Safe area for children to play while supervised. Driveway gate can be shut to encourage children to stay away from the road. Hose in back yard for washing off sand from the beach. Large back patio with pleasant views. Plenty of room for parking of 5+ vehicles.
Hiking trail was an impressive and enjoyable feature.
Owner was extremely accommodating and replied quickly when we had questions.
We came because of a wedding in the area, and I hope that we can find an excuse to come back again because we enjoyed it so much!
Our family had our biennial reunion here, and it was excellent. We were 4 siblings (couples) and our parents, and 5 adult kids from the next generation. The 5 bedrooms were very roomy and the landing had room for the two extra couples on futons. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking gear and even some basic spices and other basics. The yard was extensive and nicely kept, and the flowers holding off the elk nicely (ask about their early experience). Tillamook was 15 minutes away for groceries and other necessities (like clamming gear). Recommended!
Three families of four enjoyed a wonderful stay at the beautiful Retreat at Whiskey Creek. The home is well equipped, modern and comfortable. The grounds were perfectly manicured and allowed for everything from quiet strolls and bird watching to touch football matches. Would definitely return!
Eleven sorority sisters had our annual getaway at Whiskey creek. It was a beautiful home, lovely big bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and a cozy fireplace for evening games and conversation.
It was nice to have this house as a hub to travel up and down the coast. Thanks for the use of such a lovely home. Sisters of Xi Gamma Alpha
We love staying here! I love the walk down to the Bay to see the Heron and Egrets, and even spotted Otter playing. The house is spacious, clean and accommodating for group activities and private spaces. The Master spa tub is a real treat. Lovely large kitchen and sweet views out every window. Highly reccommmend!
