Pleasant trip
My wife and I (along with our 2 small dogs) spent the month of February at this nice home. The location is ideal: It’s at the end of a dead end street, only a few steps from Veterans Beach, which is owned by the US government. Dogs on leashes are allowed on this beach, and our furry “children” thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
The house has two decks and great views. It is a 3 bedroom and 2 bath home that is well furnished. We felt like there was lots of room for our group of 2 adults and 2 dogs. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, utensils, and a large starter set of consumable supplies (e.g., paper towels, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, etc.).
Leroy and Nan were wonderful to work with. They provided lots of helpful information about the local area, and were immediately responsive to questions by either email or phone. They demonstrated the ideal balance of helpful hosts, but were not overly intrusive.
Our goal was a quiet vacation. This house, with its wonderful location, greatly exceeded the goal. We explored numerous local restaurants (definitely go to Jesse’s on the Bay - about 2 minutes away!).
The house is in the Cabana Beach subdivision, which in February consists of a nice blend of full time residents, snow birds and empty houses. It is located about 12 miles from the middle of Gulf Shores on the Fort Morgan road. In February, there is hardly any traffic and the trip back to Gulf Shores goes quickly. We will definitely be back.
