This home is absolutely beautiful, even without the breath-taking views. But what really sold us was how conveniently located it is to everything we need or love to do. It's 2 minutes from a grocery store, 5 minutes from the beach, 1 minute from a boat launch, minutes from several local restaurants, only about 10 minutes from the Island View Casino and 15 minutes from the Beau Rivage.
I think the most unique thing about our home is what happens in the fall of the year. Standing at the bulkhead bordering the yard you can catch shrimp or crabs without leaving your vacation home. There just aren't many places offering that kind of unique family entertainment.
What a quiet stay. Close to every thing. After being with classic cars with loud pipes it was a nice escape. I complement the owner:the kitchen had every item that you needed to prepare any meal you wanted. The neighbor was most helpful in answering questions. Well keep yard. The only thing that we did not know :which day of the week the trash was to be picked up. We will be back next year
We had a great time and loved this property! It was clean and quite, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house while in Gulfport. We would definitely stay here again! We had coffee in the morning on the porch, while we watched the sunrise and rocked in the amazing rocking chairs. We fished, several times and actually had some luck catching a few! We enjoyed our family dinners in the superb kitchen, all the appliances were clean and user friendly. We visited the beach on several occasions, we all managed to bring home great sun tans! We had dinner at the Beach Blvd steamer, king crab legs, shrimp, crab claws and many side dishes were to die for! All in all our experience was great, the owner was very prompt and attentive to every call or text I made to him before we arrived, thus making this trip spectacular! I would recommend this property to any of my family and friends traveling to this area, and would stay here again! Thankx again for a fabulous holiday weekend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beard's Cove. The house is attractive, comfortable, convenient, and well kept! It's a perfect place for entertaining. We had a birthday party here for our two year old grandson for the 2nd year in a row and we will probably do it again next year! We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet getaway!

When we arrived at this rental home, we were extremely unhappy with what we found. There were cabinet doors partially hanging off their hinges. A light fixture in one of the bathrooms was pulled off the wall and left hanging. A hole in the closet door of one bedroom closet, and the master bedroom closet door had no handles to open them, (I found them in the drawer of the nightstand, they were still in the bags they came in and had not even been attempted to be installed.) When I tried to open one of the doors, it came off the tracks. The upstairs smoke detector was chirping and I need of a battery.
The VBRO ad said free long distance and wireless internet. Neither of which were working. When I talked to the owner, he said it just needed to be unplugged and reset. I did that but it still did not work. The grill was not functioning. The master bedroom deck, which we were looking forward to, had an old metal table and chairs with peeling paint, and an umbrella which had arms which were broken down and could not be fixed. The umbrella fabric showed many seasons of use, it was frayed and ripped and looked horrible. The sliding glass door to the master bedroom had no handle or lock. The tracks on that same door were filthy. The refrigerator had dirty shelves and smelled.
A children's playset in the yard was broken and in disrepair. There was siding on the exterior of the lower level which was partially hanging off.
The grill was extremely dirty, and would not light.
The place had not been properly cleaned. We found sand in the bed of the master bedroom. Garbage and a used wash cloth in one of the bedroom closets, the sink in the master bedroom had a sandy film all over it, there were kid's small toys and other items left under a table, which had clearly not been swept under. It was absolutely not in the condition the photos on this site led us to believe we were renting.
When I called the owner to address these problems, he said he would have the cleaning crew come back out to clean it again, and they hadn't been able to do a good job because the people before us left late. He also blame the disrepair on those people. Many of the disrepair problems I noticed, however, were long term, and could not have been caused by one group of renters.
The owner said we could have our money back, but that we would have to vacate immediately. We did this, even though it meant trying to find another place in the middle of the summer.
This house is simply amazing. This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this home. I love to sit out on the porch or the balcony off the master and just watch and listen for all the different critters. We saw two baby alligators sunning on the pier and tons of frogs, birds, fish and turtles. This home has plenty of space for you and your guest to spread out. The kitchen is wonderful! We love that you are right in the middle of Biloxi and Gulfport. You will love this place!
Great place to sit on the deck and relax, as the rocking chairs are a nice touch. The inside of the house was great and very comfortable. Our family absolutely loved it and we have already recommended it to friends and co-workers. It is close to the beach and casinos, and not that far from New Orleans. Will definitely return when we decide to visit the Gulf Coast again.
