Mike and Janice have been married for over 30 years and have found Princeville, Kauai to be one of our favorite places. We have a son and a daughter and Princeville has been a favorite destination for our family, and for us as a couple, for the last 15 years. We love the relaxing, natural setting and the active lifestyle Kauai has to offer. Our favorite activities are hiking, snorkeling, kayaking and enjoying good friends while here in Kauai. We hope you will enjoy all that Kauai has to offer and that you'll want to come back year after year.

Janice Orzechowski purchased this condo in 2010
From our first visit to Kauai about 15 years ago we have been looking for that special condo that we could call our own. The moment we walked thru the doors we felt at home, comfortable and relaxed with everything we could ever want and knew that this was where we could spend a lifetime together. We have always loved the North Shore and all the nature that surrounds this beautiful place.
While there are two private bedrooms, there is also a day bed with an ocean view and a privacy screen you can use to create a possible 3rd sleeping area.
THis is the perfect place to vacation with teens. There was ample space for everyone. With quick access to the beach we could all go snorkeling whenever we liked. Walking/jogging trails gave us a chance to get some exercise and the views were fantastic. We went on some day trips to see other parts of the island and returned home about 4 to have some beach time too. I would highly recommend this condo for a family vacation.
We loved our stay at Pu'u Po'a. We stayed here with our 2 young kids (3 & 5) and my in-laws. It was great, because it was like having 2 master bedrooms. The condo is very well laid out (photos don't do it justice). We walked in and were immediately WOW'd! We had 9 nights there, and could have easily spent another week. Loved the main floor as we had quick and easy access to the pool, and lots of grassy area for the kids to run around. Most importantly, Janice was great to deal with the condo was spotless. We preferred Princeville to Poipu, but realize it's a personal preference. Lots to do, and great to have the 'toys' to borrow at the condo.
We looked at staying at some of the resorts in the area but decided on staying in a condo so that we would have more space and the ability to fix our own meals when we wanted to. We are very happy with the decision to stay at this condo and the owner was great to work with.
The Puu Poa complex is very nice and has excellent views of the ocean. It is within walking distance of a few beaches and you can not beat the views of the north shore. The condo itself was fully stocked with beach chairs, snorkel equipment, towels, and kitchen items. All were in excellent condition. The pillow top bed and linens were better than any hotel we have stayed at. Sitting on the lanai and listening to the ocean is one of my best memories of the trip!
We are very happy with this decision and would highly reccomend this condo.
My family and I so enjoyed your beautiful vacation home! It was large enough for 5, comfortably furnished, and had all the amenities we needed for a wonderful stay. The sunsets were incredible and MANY hours were spent at Hideaway, the beach right below the condo. Mahalo for providing us the perfect place to create unforgetable memories!
My family (two kids ages 3 and 5 and my husband and myself) stayed here for 4 days and will definitely be back for a longer period the next time. Having stayed in Princeville in the past, I knew it was a beautiful location. Hideaways Beach, which is directly below the condo, is possibly the most beautiful beach in the world with crystal clear waters. It is a very steep climb to get there, but well worth it and we even managed with our little girls. The famous and charming little town of Hanalei is a very short drive, and the Princeville shopping center also has everything you would need. My husband and I walked to the St. Regis (literally 2 min walk) for a date one night and we also enjoyed the beach in front of the St. Regis.
The condo is very clean and well stocked. The pictures do not do this beautiful place justice. We loved watching the wild chickens walking past the porch/lawn in front of the expansive ocean view every day. I was concerned about my 3 year old with the extreme cliff in front of the condo but she knew not to go near the rope and we watched her closely when outside.
We left Princeville to spend the rest of our trip in a 5 star resort on Maui and didn't want to leave the Puu Poa condo. What an amazing deal for all this space, comfort, and view!
It does rain quite a lot on the north shore of Kauai but that is why it is SO much more tropical and green than other parts of Hawaii. If you drive a few minutes you can usually escape the rain. If not, head to Poipu for the day. The Grand Hyatt Poipu usually allows use of their pools/facilities for a day rate.
We can't wait to come back. Thank you, Janice for the wonderful stay in your beautiful condo.
We stayed at this unit for a week with another couple. The unit is just lovely - clean, well stocked/organized, comfortable, quiet and has amazing views. The pictures listed are current and actually do not do the unit and grounds justice. The owner was helpful and easy to deal with -- the entire experience was 100% positive. We would all stay here again.
We watched whales jumping out front every morning, enjoyed walks/snorkeling/etc around Princeville and enjoyed time just sitting by the pool soaking up the sun!
I have stayed at Puu Poa a couple of times and this has certainly been my favorite. The condo is very nice and well stocked with anything you might need. The owners were also a pleasure to deal with. Will definitely be going back.
