El Salvador Villa Rental Photos and Description
Villa, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)
Villa Bendicion is uniquely situated on a cliff offering a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean and the surf. Bendicion is the Spanish word for blessing. We feel blessed to stay in such a place surrounded by natural beauty. The large terrace and gazebo offer many opportunities to enjoy the day with the sea and sky as a constant companion. I have a special home made chair in the corner of the terrace where I have my morning beverage and contemplate the surf conditions.
El Zonte beach, is a favorite among tourists and locals alike. Sheer cliffs border a 3 kilometer beach. Rock formations rise out of the powdery volcanic sand. At low tide discover tiny sea creatures among the rocks and swim in tidal pools, at high tide swim in a saltwater pool that overflows with the incoming waves.

About The Owner
Paola and I met at sunset on El Zonte beach in 2001. Her grandfather built one of the original homes in El Zonte in the late 50's. Her family visited the beach almost every weekend. Originally from Virginia, I first surfed in El Zonte in 1995 and bought my first home there in 2000. Paola is a theater actor and I am a visual artist. We have two daughters.
The Owner purchased this villa in 2005
Why The Owner chose El Salvador
For me, El Zonte means childhood memories. I have the opportunity of having my children enjoy it as much as I did. The house is well located in El Salvador map. We are close enough to San Salvador to enjoy the entertainment dining and art, but far enough to feel the serenity of the beach. The colonial towns of Ataco and Apaneca can be reached by car in a little over an hour as well. Mike traveled a lot through south and Central America and when he came to El Zonte he found the right place for him in its unique, quiet and beautiful scenery.
What makes this villa unique
Our house was designed for relaxation and entertainment. Last year we added lighting mosaic tile, and an underwater bench to our pool. The bench facilitates enjoying the pool with our girls while they learn to swim. We love seafood, grilling a big Red Snapper by the pool, eating fresh oysters brought out from in front of our property, and making ceviche. Our terraces and gazebo are large enough and separate enough to hold group and private activities simultaneously. Often, when we are entertaining, someone is sleeping in the hammock while another group socializes, and someone else meditates or reads at the gazebo.
