Owners Russ & Kris Bratsch and their Property Managers Christie & Chris Powers
Our names are Russ and Kris Bratsch. We purchased this property in 2010. We were both raised on Minnesota farms. Russ has spent his life farming. Kris has been a librarian for eight years. We enjoy being active all year round and certainly owning this condo gives us much to look forward to when the weather turns cold at home. We want others to experience our piece of paradise when we are not able to be here.
Christie Powers and her husband Chris Powers manage our property. They handles all communications of potential renters. They also may pick up vacationers at the airport and are a convenient resource, since their office is very close to the condo if renters have any questions or problems.
This property is a standout from all the other rental properties that we've seen in coastal areas. It was clear immediately when you drive onto the property that the complex and the grounds are well maintained, secure, and centrally located on the north shore. Pelican Cove Condominiums are right on the beach, of course, but from our particular condo, we have nice views of some of St. Croix's lush hills, when we turn our focus off the sea.
The buildings and grounds here are well cared for by the friendly staff. It is such a serene experience to walk around amongst the rustling palm leaves and to hear the waves. Even the parking lot is pretty.
The surrounding neighborhood is a nature conservancy, residences and the next two neighbors down the beach feature excellent restaurants.
Since the south shore is only 9-10 miles away and Christiansted is only a few minutes drive away, this location makes it perfect to drive east to Point Udall and watch for whales or take a hike to Jack's Bay and snorkel or drive west to Cane Bay or Davis Beach and snorkel or scuba dive. When we feel the need to go shopping in Fredriksted or snorkel under the pier we only have a 30 minute drive or so. By the way, the locals are very polite drivers here. Since we knew that our potential renters may want to just sunbathe by the pool or on the beach and relax and unwind from their hectic schedules, we knew that it was a bonus to get such a great pool and a beach that you can take long walks on. You may get the treat of watching the kite boarders, sometimes literally close enough to feel like you'll be under the sail, too, as we did our first time here and several time since then. Maybe you want to learn the sport yourself when you are on St. Croix.
Christie Powers and her husband Chris Powers manage our property. For more on how they can assist you please see the section above this.
When we first walked into this condo we were swept away by the grandness of the space inside created by the cathedral ceilings in the dining and living areas and the spaciousness of the rooms, but when we continued through this space to the 3rd floor balcony and beheld the vision through the blooming flamboyant trees, past the well groomed tropical landscaping, the turquoise sea and the beach that could be ours, we were both in awe. We visit once or twice a year for 1 - 5 weeks and we never tire of being on our balcony. We eat all our meals that we cook at home there. We just can't get enough of the view.
We should say that once we emerged from the balcony that first time, we went into the master bedroom and found it to be just as grand as the rest of the place. We (Kris particularly) really like that there are two sinks and mirrors for getting ready for the many activities we do on the island.
