Delightful 2 bedroom fully contained property in Toorak! Sleeps 5

Two bedroom home in Toorak with Wi-Fi and unrestricted parking on the street out front. The location of this home is down a side street so it is lovely and quiet while being so close to the main road which has great accessibility to all the iconic Melbourne destinations. It is perfectly positioned within walking distance to Toorak Village and Hawksburn village as well as a tram stop.

The Master bedroom features a queen bed with plenty of cupboard space, a sun seat which offers superb privacy from the street below. Bask in the sunshine of the bayside window and bench seating. Kick back with your favourite book or watch TV.

The 2nd bedroom is down the hall way and to the left. This can be set up with either two singles or pushed together to make a king.

*Single fold out bed available.

The next room along is the brand new bathroom with a massive mirror, large vanity and a shower with great water pressure. In the bathroom you will also find a hidden laundry.

The kitchen has a 4 burner gas stove top and a brand new SMEG oven. There are plenty of appliances and dishes to cater for most needs.

The dining table can seat up to 6 inside and there is also an outdoor dining table which can seat 6, great for warm summer nights when you cook up a BBQ. On those warm Melbourne days roll back the timber doors and enjoy seamless indoor/outdoor living in utter privacy.

The lounge room has plenty of warm rugs and cushions to snuggle up on to watch a movie on the DVD player or if there is something on TV the flat screen TV has you covered.

I’m a keen golfer. I have lived in the area since 1982! My wife and I have had 2 little girls which we absolutely adore and cherish!

Why Lisa Emrose chose Toorak

I like the area, being close to the Hawksburn Village and transport options. The property is very low maintenance which suited me at the time.

Maybe when we retire, we will move back to the property!

What makes this cottage unique

I fell in love with two things. 1. The bench seat in the master bedroom which is a great spot to sit when the sun streams in,and 2. The radio in the bathroom at my first inspection was playing “cant fight the moonlight’ by Leann Rimes

Excellent location, clean & tidy home

House was in an excellent & quiet location. It was clean & tidy with a sunny garden area. The kitchen and dining area was a little dark but as we were not using it this didn't bother us. Bedrooms were large, bathroom was clean with great supply of hot water. Would recommend. Lisa was responsive and helpful.

Lovely area, but disappointed with the property

We stayed at this property in November of 2012.

The manager of the property was very easy to work with to make this reservation.

Unfortunately, when we arrived the property had not been cleaned properly and the normal start up supplies were missing. The carpet in the second bedroom were very stained and needed to be replaced. The bathroom floor was also very old and in need of replacement. We felt the entire property needed an extremely thorough cleaning from top to bottom.

The manager has acknowledged these issues and has indicated all of the carpets have subsequently been replaced. Apparently, the plan is to completely renovate the bathroom in May and bring it up to standard. She did arrange for alternate accommodation for the rest of our stay and also provided a refund.

From a safety perspective, we were also concerned by the old style locks on the doors which are locked from the inside. In the event of an emergency we were concerned with how long it would take to get the door open as the locks were difficult to work.

As you mentioned I endeavoured to action your concerns as swiftly as I could to ensure minimum disruption to your stay. Since your visit and feedback the following initiatives have been taken; Carpets have been replaced and new carpets layed Second bedroom painted Cleaners replaced with new more professional cleaning organisation Door locks to be replaced. New BBQ installed Bathroom fully renovated by May 2013, however we are endeavoutring to bring these works forward. On a positive note I am glad you enjoyed all the highlights of Victoria and made the most of your stay - Healsville sanctuary and the Great Ocean road as stand outs. It was a pleasure delaing with you and all the best.
