Apartment 7 has a magnificent living room with large bay windows that have an incredible view that looks west all the way over green gardens to the Hudson River and New Jersey. It is 4 easy flights up and 58 feet above the street level and has a west facing enclosed terrace. In this living room there is also a queen sized sleeper sofa and a separate single bed for sleeping. There is also a large desk for study, a large 40 inch LCD TV with complete cable including HBO and Cinemax and a deco fireplace. There is wired cable Internet access via our wireless system in this living space as well as an air conditioner and steam heat in the winter.
The separate Bedroom facing east, has a full size bed with a window and a air conditioner provided as well as steam heat in the winter. The bathroom has plenty of light as it comes with a sunroof and has a tub and standard shower in the tub. The bright sun-lit east facing eat-in kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster over, toaster, blender, mixer and coffee maker.
The apartment is ideally located in a very charming old victorian house, in the upper west side, close to central park, broadway, close to express subway station (one station from time square with the express).
Offering great shopping opportunities for exquisite food (fairway is close by), the vicinity is quiet (at least for New York...) at night and secure. The apartment has a great view on New Jersey and the Hudson river. The apartment, made of two units, is well equipped and, being located on the last floor, it is very convenient to go from one unit to the other. The living room is large (with the New Jersey view) and bright, as on the pictures. The other unit includes the kitchen and bathroom and a separate room. All was clean, functional, well furnished and nicely decorated.
We stayed there for two weeks, we were two children and three adults, and the place can be recommended for families. Last but not least, we were warmly welcomed by Donna and Georges, and we are very grateful for their kindness and availability!
On West End Avenue between 76th and 77th street in the heart of the trendy Upper West Side, and only 9 short blocks from Lincoln Centre (music and theatre, Julliard for studies). An unconverted, historical brownstone with all of its original detail intact, quiet but only half a block from Broadway where everything awaits you at any hour. Both apartments are approx. 1360 sq. ft. each. Both with views on two sides , east to West End Avenue and west to Riverside Drive.
