CHARMING LOG CABIN IN THE WOODS, FIREPIT, SPA, 2 DECKS, MTN VIEWS, 3 TVS, WIFI

Boone Cabin Rental Photos and Description

2300 sq feet, Sleeps 10 MAX, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms

Managed by dedicated OWNERS, this cabin provides you with all the country charm and luxury you would want. Located a short stroll from the meandering New River, this ONE ACRE authentic log cabin has all the conveniences you could ask for, complete with a rustic atmosphere and adorable country bear theme. The cabin is striking with vaulted pine LOG WALLS and exposed-beam CATHEDRAL CEILINGS. Comfy seating and gorgeous mountain views through the huge windows and doors. Enjoy the STONE WOOD-BURNING FIREPLACE or play pool, ping pong or darts. The fully-equipped kitchen has a large breakfast bar and dining area. 2 WRAPAROUND DECKS for dining & grilling, Adirondack chairs and gliders with plenty of seating to enjoy the sounds of the river and drink in the mountain views. Bird-watching is a favorite activity from the decks. All 4 bedrooms are charming and spacious.

A PRIVATE sunken SPA is located on the lower deck for you to enjoy after a day of hiking, skiing and mountain activities. Have a real outdoor campfire or cookout in the FIREPIT.

Very private community, but close to all activities.

River Community: Bearfoot Hideaway is in a private river community with river access, and maintained river walks.

Nature at its best: Relax and enjoy the gorgeous views or watch the birds and woodland animals from one of our huge wrap around decks, or while soaking in our sunken hot tub. Then dry off and warm yourself by our outdoor firepit, or our stone fireplace.

if you are so inclined, please feed the birds and hummingbirds with the food we have in the cabin.

Underground Power lines: Bearfoot Hideaway is located in a community with underground power lines! The benefit if which is that the cabin does not have power outages when the weather is inclement, as other homes in the area experience frequently. During the blizzard of '09 when 88% of Watauga county was powerless, (some for more than 4 days), Bearfoot Hideaway did not experience even one split second of power loss.

About Trish

As 2 business professionals, we never had time to destress, until we purchased our cabin 'Bearfoot Hideaway'. I am an avid gardener and birdwatcher, and my husband loves to hike. The crisp clean mountain air and natures sounds from the woods around our cabin make us feel as if we escaped the world. The starlit sky at night is only overshadowed by the June fireflies or the roaring fire we build in our outdoor firepit. Bearfoot Hideaway is our piece of heaven in the Blue Ridge Mountains!

Trish purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Trish chose Boone

We fell in love with our log cabin the moment we walked onto the deck. The mountain views and authentic log construction was exactly what we were looking for.

What makes this cabin unique

We love mountain biking and hiking along the Blue Ridge. Summer is a great time for tubing on our very own New River. Living far away, it is not so easy staying on top of it, but I take TLC of my garden whenever we get a chance to be there, and the flowers are absolutely GORGEOUS! The Autumn is also a favorite time of year to be in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The changing leaves of Fall, along with the cooler temperatures makes for a heavenly getaway. From the time the first snowflake falls, until late March skiing, Boone is a winter wonderland. There are Arts & Crafts Festivals all year long.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thanks again for sharing your beautiful cabin with our family. The cabin was extremely clean and well-stocked. The location was also great. It was somewhat secluded while still being close enough to shopping/activities. There was so little traffic by the house that our children were able to sled in the roadway by the house.

We would definitely rent this house again!

Thanks,

Rebecca and Family

Wonderful and Relaxing Trip!

  • 5 of 5
We were a family of 10 people traveling from Florida to North Carolina to enjoy some winter fun especially the mountains. This cabin was a real treat for us all. First of all it was very large and had plenty of bedrooms to fit us all very comfortably. It was so nicely decorated with the bear theme and everything you need was provided. The cabin was VERY clean and everything well kept. Trish the owner is a pleasure to work with and very helpful. We also had the property management folks stop by to be sure we had plenty of firewood and to offer any other help if we needed anything. First class and a must to return! Thanks Trish for a great place to stay and enjoy ourselves.

Great Blue Ridge Mountain Getaway

  • 5 of 5
There are so many small things that made my family's stay at Bearfoot Hideaway enjoyable, that I cannot list them all here. The overall experience was that we all felt as if we had walked into our own 2nd home. It was clean, comfortable, and a great mountain getaway experience. It is near some wonderful Blue Ridge Parkway sights and attractions, and near some very good New River outdoor adventures. Rental details were easy to arrange, and the owner/contact (Trish) was very responsive and helpful. Clean, comfortable, and conveniently close to Boone, NC. We would rent again without hesitation. Thank you, from our family, for a great weekend vacation! The Goughs.

We keep coming back

  • 5 of 5
We have stayed at Bearfoot Hideaway 4 times so far. What keeps us coming back again and again is the homey feeling, the great views, the super attention to detail by the owners and the caring service and support we receive.
We love the area and the land around the house, very private but convenient. No dirt roads but the house feels very secluded. We love sitting in the hot tub at night looking at the sun setting over the mountain tops. Or singing around the fire pit. Our kids loved sledding down the road after a heavy snowfall. Or gathering around the fireplace to play games. We also think the kitchen is outfitted very well.
We will be back again this year!

Wonderful getaway

  • 5 of 5
Absolutely beautiful property! The house is very clean and spacious, and it's located far enough from town to feel private but close enough for convenience. The views are absolutely magnificent, and my wife Psyche and I particularly enjoyed gazing out over the mountains from the hot tub on the lower deck. My one complaint would be the North Carolina summer heat, but the inside of the cabin was well air-conditioned, so it didn't bother us unless we were out hiking.

In love with Boone, BearFoot Hideaway and the mtns

  • 5 of 5
We visited Trish's cabin with a few friends and could not be more pleased with the accommodations or the area. Everything was A+ The cabin is decorated beautifully, the kitchen is filled with any gadget you'd need for an away from home cooking prep. The owners were careful to make sure we had plenty of firewood for the firepit. In other cabins, we always had to bring our own. They have birdfeeders all over the place and even leave seed so we can refill. They provide free long distance and wifi. It was a very comfortable and homey visit!
The views from the decks are gorgeous! We spent as much time outside as weather would permit. The river is just around the bend and the kids enjoyed splashing in it and skipping stones across.
We are hoping to get back for some autumn color! We would highly recommend BearFoot Hideaway

Unbeleivable Stay!! We will be returning!!

  • 5 of 5
I have rented many homes in the Boone area and this one, by far, was the best! What more could you ask for? Close to Boone, beautiful views, comfortable beds, hot tub, fire pit, game room. The house was so home-like and Trish, the owner, is very good at communicating all the information you need for a great stay. This was the perfect home for us. The grounds are beautiful and everything was to our liking.
