Twin Bridges Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

The winter wonderland of the Sierras has arrived! This two bedroom two bath cabin is ready for your outdoor adventure. Spend time in the Sierras and enjoy all the amenities that Tahoe has to offer. For you skiers, Sierra-At-Tahoe is less than one mile away. State Line is a twenty minute drive. Groceries and fuel are a 5 minute drive to the town of Meyers.

After a long day of skiing, spend time cozying up to the fireplace reading your latest book, watching your favorite DVD, or enjoying a family game. Our kitchen is fully stocked with all the tools needed. We offer two great bedrooms to settle the mind, one bedroom a trout theme, the other a snowshoe theme. The cabin is perfect for a family of four or two couples (with option of comfortable cots available for 2 additional guests). The snowshoe bedroom has a private bathroom. The cabin is tastefully decorated; enjoy warm colors surrounded by a natural setting.

The cabin is high in the Sierras on Echo Summit, at 7200 feet elevation, and is conveniently located off Highway 50. During the winter season, the driveway is plowed once per day during snow fall 6' or greater, making access convenient. However, during high winter season and during a storm event, you will need a 4-wheel drive with appropriate tires for winter conditions. For up to date photos, visit our Facebook page 'Cute and Cozy Echo Summit Cabin' (see link below).

Built on 5 acres, wilderness adventures are right outside the door! During the winter, snowshoe or cross country ski through the woods or at Echo Lakes. Sled the mountain on the property or at the Echo Summit Snow Park 2 miles away. We have 2 pair of adult snow shoes and sleds available for guests.

In the summer, hike to high alpine Cup Lake for scenic views and fishing for golden trout. Spend the night hours on the deck admiring sparking stars and a view of the Milky Way you will never forget. Find peace and solace during mountain walks and explore old fire break roads in the area. On Lower and Upper Echo Lakes, kayak or take the water taxi followed by a hike in Desolation Wilderness. Enjoy miles of off-road trails for Jeeps and motocross riding high above Strawberry Lodge.

We invite you to come up to Echo Summit for an adventure in the Sierras.

Please note the following important information: Due to the renovation efforts and in consideration of others, NO PETS and NO SMOKING allowed. Also, keep wildlife in mind and stay Bear Aware – please keep all trash indoors and leave no traces of food or food waste outside.

Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

We've just returned from a wonderful few days staying at Cute and Cozy Cabin. The cabin itself is beautiful and was perfect for our family of four. We loved the wood burning stove and all the special touches, such as the heated blankets and the board games, which provided lots of laughs and family fun. Despite being right off the 50, we were surrounded by trees. The owners are great to liaise with and there was no problem accommodating us at short notice. Despite there being very little snow this year, we had a great time skiing at Sierra at Tahoe, which is less than a mile away from the cabin. Sierra is a great, family friendly resort which has everything and more that our family of beginner/ intermediate skiiers needed. Our first experience of both vrbo and of Sierra at Tahoe, both 5 star experiences. Thank you!

Perfect place for our stay

  • 5 of 5

I picked up this place for my family and my sister's get-together. We just wanted to ski at Sierra At Tahoe and have some home-made foods at night. This was a perfect fit for us! This cabin had everything we needed. While we enjoyed modern conveniences, we were able to watch snow by the window and played outside with our kids. The wood-burning fireplace was a very nice feature. We were sitting around it and just felt cozy, warm, and comfy. The cabin didn't have wifi, but to us it was a plus. Instead of looking at our own tablets, we spent time with kids to play board games and watch movies. We had a wonderful holiday time together in this beautiful cabin! The owner is very nice and friendly. We would come back and recommend it to others!

Great Family Memories!

  • 5 of 5

We used this cabin for a family get-together during Christmastime. We had a fabulous time! The children enjoyed the outside activities, sledding, building snowmen and hiking. They also enjoyed inside activities, movies, X-Box and board games. The kitchen was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The sleeping arrangements were soooo comfortable and warm. Everything, from furniture to outdoor toys, was clean and ready for use. When we needed to make some changes to our arrival date, the owner was available and accommodating. I will recommend this cabin to family and friends. I hope to return and enjoy it again!

Great Snow Play getaway

  • 4 of 5

This worked great for us. We wanted a place where we could just stay at the cabin, and go right outside to sled, build snow men/women/dogs/thrones without having to drive anywhere. We made an olympic class toboggan run w/ a little snow shoveling, and many snow figures were built. The cabin is new & comfortable & b/c we actually really cook, the kitchen was perfect. (stainless steel & cast iron pots/pans, plenty of sharp knives [a true rental rarity] & other tools). Really nice & efficient fireplace. You need to bring a sealable bucket for wet trash (to compost) & bag the dry trash b/c you can't leave it there. The only other downside was the highway noise while outside...but we were having so much fun it really wasn't an issue (& inside you don't hear it).

Cute and Cozy Says it All

  • 5 of 5

Everything, the description, the listing photos, location are accurate. Cute and cozy says it all. It was not as big in person as it seems to be in the pictures but it didn't matter. The house was beautiful and my family was definitely pleased. The owners are very pleasant to deal with and very prompt in their responses. Located conveniently very close to Sierra at Tahoe. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a nice place to stay for a ski trip.

Perfect for my family of 4!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I brought our two children (9 and 11) up to the "Cute and Cozy" cabin on short notice. This happened to be one of the properties that was available and the owners were very responsive and accomodating of our last minute plans.

The photo's and description are spot on in my view. While not large, the place has been nicely updated/maintained and in my opinion the overall property is above average. I will comment on a few specific things.

The property is right off of the Highway. Great location and easy to get to but you will hear some road noise. This was not a problem for us. If you are looking for something tucked away from the road this may not be the place for you.

The kitchen was large, nice and well supplied with dishes/pans/utensils. However, they did encourage us to bring our own drinking water. By the way, my wife made me take pictures of the kitchen and suggested we should remodel our kitchen at home. We did find that one of the showers was a little small, kind of tucked into the bathroom and the footprint is sort of shaped like a piece of pie. But, we are tall and thin and it worked just fine.

I believe the listing throws out some cautions about the driveway and I was a bit concerned about this. I have stayed at a few places in the past where I am amazed that the driveway was even approved, especially considering the snow and ice conditions that are common. In my opinion, here the owners are just trying to be cautious. I have definitely stayed at places with more difficult driveways and the owners never said a thing before our arrival.

I would also mention that the place is heated with a wood burning stove. I enjoyed building and maintaining the fire and it added a nice relaxing touch to the evenings. I did see a gas fireplace but the controls were locked. If this is an issue for you I would encourage you to talk with the owner.

Overall we had a great experience. Great kitchen, comfortable furnitfure, easy to find, helpful owners, and a reasonable price. By the way, we were even high enough up in elevation that we got to enjoy a full day of snow. When we left the cabin it only took about 5 minutes for us to drop below the snow fall and be in the rain. Personally, if I'm going to drive to the Sierra's on the first day of March I prefer to play with my kids in the snow, not in the rain.

We would definitely recommend this place! Just don't book it on the days I want.
