Recoleta Quiet Fabulous Sunny French Pied a Terre/Gardens

The apartment is stunning, beautifully furnished and scattered with lovely works of art throughout. The location is excellent, the building is rather grand and is secure with an inner courtyard/ garden so the apartment is very quiet. Nearby are many lovely restaurants, shops and bars.

The best surprise for us was the fabulous welcome we had from the owner. She arranged transport from the airport, had lunch ready when we arrived and throughout our stay provided invaluable Information, help and tips without ever nbeing intrusive. We felt that we were treated as friends and our stay was made so much smoother and more enjoyable by all the help we received.

I would recommend this property very highly to friends and family and would love to return there.

The description and pictures only begin to tell the story. This is a delightful apartment in a quiet and totally charming complex. The apartment shows the touch of an experienced decorator (the owner) with something of interest at every turn of the head. All of the comforts are here also, and everything spotless and in working order. Kitchen, bedrooms, dining and living rooms each serve their purpose admirably and provide pleasant surprises beyond that.

This is the first time my wife and I came to Buenos Aires and the first time we rented an apartment for a vacation. Everything about the process was easy and allayed any concerns we may have had. The secret ingredient in this case is the owner, Anne Elizabeth. From the first moment we contacted Anne she provided frequent communication and advice about our trip, getting around in BA and what to expect in our stay in her apartment. Her advice was invaluable and everything she said about the apartment, its location, amenities, etc. was accurate and, if anything, slightly understated. Anne Elizabeth was also a quiet resource for us during our stay. She makes herself available but in no way does she ever intrude.
When we did get together-at my request- we enjoyed wonderful conversation and knew that we had made a friend and contact for our next trip to BA.

Buenos Aires is a busy and somewhat noisy city. This apartment is located on a side street in the most upscale area of the city and is convenient to food shopping and public transportation. There are big bronze and glass doors (with locks) that provide entry from the street to a series of open courtyards surrounded by the apartment buildings themselves. This arrangement provides tremendous privacy, seclusion and security. In addition, this reveals what a real "garden apartment" was meant to look like. The courtyards have flowering shrubs and plants, carved stone figures and stone archways. This particular apartment is on the first level in the center of the complex and allows no traffic or city sounds of any kind to disturb the tenants. The only sounds you hear are of birds chirping outside your windows. If this sounds idyllic it is because...well, it is.

We were in Buenos Aires to meet up with our daughter who was studying there. The three of us were very comfortable in this apartment and it can easily accommodate a larger party. I recommend this for your stay in BA. It will add significantly to your enjoyment of this wonderful city

It doesn't get any better! My husband and I just spent three weeks in this stunning apartment nestled in one of Recoleta's best neighborhoods. This is a place where you will feel very special. It's beautiful, unique, and stylish, and at the same time warm, inviting and comfortable.
The photos don't do it justice, it is much more charming in person with it's soaring ceilings and exquisite decor. The amenities are as listed with everything needed for a comfortable stay -- hairdryer, washer/dryer, towels, fully-equipped kitchen, top line sheets and bedding, dozens of towels, premium shampoos and body wash. The bed it outstanding - better than any hotel.
The neighborhood is probably even better than listed -- it has everything from bakeries, markets, fruit stands, dry cleaners, outstanding restaurants and shops, along with many of Buenos Aires popular sights, all within walking distance. You can hail a cab right out the front door, yet the apartment is situated in a spectacular courtyard, quietly tucked away from the bustling city streets.
What truly sets this apartment apart is its owner, who was not only instrumental in helping us plan an amazing trip, but goes above and beyond to make sure the guests are enjoying themselves -- without being the least bit intrusive. This includes emailing tourism information in advance, arranging airport transfers, setting out a sumptuous welcome breakfast, helping navigate currency conversion, suggesting places of interest to visit -- all very intuitive and personalized with respect to what guests will enjoy.
Whatever you do, ditch your tour books and check out the owner's list of restaurant recommendations -- we tried most of them and all were outstanding -- Due, Teatriz, Sirop, and don't miss Lele de Troya. Have high tea at the Park Hyatt and pay the extra peso for the recorded headset at the Eva Peron Museum. Visit a closed door restaurant, like CasaSaltshaker. Check out a milonga and the San Telmo Market. Take in the colors of La Boca and have lunch at El Obierto.
This apartment is a wonderful place stay if you want to to experience all the joys that Buenos Aires has to offer. Sweet dreams/dulce suenos!
